You're acting like it's mandatory to have a Max Martin credit on your album. It's mandatory if you want to be GUARENTEED a hit. Meantime, there are many artists out there who do not call up Max Martin for help...and they write hits...and their songs are more interesting for it...because it's more original.

Do you not feel slightly cynical that Adele has asked Max Martin to make her a ready made hit...guess she's not that confident in the other material.

I'm not pretending anything lol, I'm just saying if you're going to proclaim something as a fact you should probably check it is actually true lol

Hardly the same. The first two were in bands. We are talking about solo artists who can't write a song on their own...join a band if you need help.

She's not confident in the other material but chose a song not co-written with Max Martin as the lead single. Okkkkk

Since TS is now pop and has a "stable" of writers, this statement just makes me smile. Although you are right to a point. She did write lines like "why you gotta be so mean?'.
Adele plays multiple instruments and writes or co-writes all her music. But you know that already
This new era just keeps getting better.
Max Martin produced one song on 25 right? Adele is listed as co-writer on every song. What's the problem here exactly?”

Don't know who you think I am but let me tell you I am not a TS fan.

I listen to Foals, Deftones, Fall Out Boy, Smashing Pumpkins, Fiona Apple, Silversun Pickups, Red Hot Chili Peppers. So don't try to dumb me down to your level.

Max Martin also wrote the track not just produced. The problem is with people thinking she's some obscene talent when surely her talent is limited considering the help she requires from professional song writers.

Irishguy...glad I could make you laugh... Now how about you send me a list of what's on your Ipod....go on...I could do with a laugh too...

No because as has been explained to you before, songwriting and singing are too completely different talents. You don't have to be a great songwriting talent to be a singer, you don't have to be a great singing talent to be a songwriter.

Why didn't she join a band then...oh because she wants all the attention herself. Do you know how many bands there are where 1 band member writes all the songs? Funnily enough that is more common than solo artists who write everything.

Just checking her Wiki album pages and she does seem to write and co-write a lot of her songs, not with the usual ten other people either, most are with singular people.

Maybe people don't realise she has a surname.

Why do singers have to join bands if they don't write every song they've ever written alone? I don't get the point you're trying to make. Mainly because it's really stupid

Yes she co-writes with professional songwriters. The clue in the word professional means you know who's done most of the writing. Not against how the songs are written but against her being held up so high when there are other talented people getting no credit at all from her fans...why? Because their face isn't on the cover.

Yeah I'm sure Adele was really worried. I mean her career so far has really struggled.

I don't even know who Max Martin is. But no song writer or artist is ever GUARANTEED a hit. No matter who writes or sings it.

You don't like Adele. You think she's over rated. We get it. But what you're doing here stating your opinion as fact. And making up untrue 'facts' and embellishments to match your bias. IE talking bullshit.

You have zero proof of how much of any song Adele or Taylor has written compared to how much of it was written by the 'professional' song writer. You're simply making it up as you go along. Because you don't like Adele.

Taylor Swift and Adele are two entirely different artists. Who's target audience is entirely different.

Thankfully we live in a world where there's room for both and the plethora of other artists that are out there.

So you think it's fair them getting all the credit and being overrated thanks to music that has come from someone else's creativity?

My point is Adele is not the most talented person in music.

The fact that you don't know who Max Martin is means you shouldn't even be entering a debate with me. Please brush up on your musical knowledge. It is clear from our posts who holds the facts and knowledge and who is offended by the other person's knowledge and strength of opinion.

Haha. Because Max Martin is the be all and end all of music.

I'm not entering a debate, and neither are you. A debate requires facts. Of which you've shown non that weren't embellished with your own opinion.

I'm stating facts. They don't need 'strength of opinion' because they're just that. Facts.

Yes lets. Show me how you know for a fact that Adele had less contribution than her co-writers. And yes, I'll ignore the entirely stupid comparison.

Again you're making an assumption.

You know nothing of how much Adele did or didn't write. If you do please show us this concrete proof to back up your opinion.

If I hire Gordon Ramsey to cook dinner then yes, he'll do all the work. If Heston Blumental does then no he won't.

You've no idea which category Adele falls in to besides your opinion. Which is just that, an opinion.

The very last thing you're doing is 'keeping it real'.

Imagine wanting to sound like Taylor Swift. Adele has her own sound thank goodness and her voice is so superior to Taylor Swift.

Max Martin is the be all and end all of pop music. I am assuming you like pop music? Then you should know who Max Martin is.

I am not making up the facts that Adele has pro writers on her album. I am also aware those pro writers have worked on other artist's albums...that is what they do...and if they didn't do much they would not be hired in the first place. But I suppose because Adele's face is on the cover you just can't accept the fact that anybody else could have anything to do with the product in the case.

Do you just make wild assumptions in every thread you make?

And Max Martin isn't the be all and end all, and yes, I do know who he is.

Well if you insist....

Compare Hometown Glory to Rolling In The Deep. There is more going on in the latter, the latter was also a bigger hit. Now check the credits for each and there's your answer and my argument backed up.

Listen to Baby One More Time by Britney Spears. Then listen to Dear Diary by Britney Spears. Which one do you think is a better song? Which one do you think sounds like a hit? Now...which one was Max Martin involved in?

Would you like more examples?
