So you suddenly find out husband, wife or partner liked to cross dress and become a completely act out different personality and gender, how do you think you'd feel and how do you think you' react?

I hope Pam comes round. But, I think I get her reaction. I think I would feel somewhat similar. Of course it's hard to say though without being in the situation. But, I think the real difficult thing about it is the length of time it has been going on and the fact that she wasn't aware of it despite having been married to the man for decades. It's that ultimate betrayal and on top of that it's something that must seem so outlandish for your husband to suddenly reveal.

And of course we all always care so much of what people think of us. So there is that whole issue of what the rest of the family, friends and neighbours will think. That embarrassment and sense of shame, everyone whispering about you etc. It would certainly be hard to take.

But, personally I would hope that if it is someone I've truly loved for so long that I would be able to move past it all and still stay together.

i really wouldn't care about the cross dressing, what would bother me is the fact that he felt he couldn't tell me.

Agree, compounded by the fact that he confided in another woman.

I would be jealous - Les as Christine is a far more attractive woman than Pam will ever be and that is what she can't cope with. Pam is a selfish little rat who doesn't deserve such a sensitive husband. She's the type who would euthanise her spouse if they had a cold because it would be too much trouble to go to the chemists for lemsip.

I think I'd feel cheated amongst other things. You could see that she was warming to Christine and that maybe they could have been friends, she could have been part of her life too. But she's been shut out for 40 years. So betrayed, cheated, excluded and hurt. It would have felt worse because Les had shared with Claudette...those holidays together...

It's hard to empathise with a cold blooded killer.

Yes - it's fine to murder your offspring but wear clothes designed for opposite sex is too much. Dreadful.

I think me and my wife would have a very hard time accepting one another if it suddenly emerged one of us crossed dressed and had an alter ego. If you knew what you were signing up for then it's different, but when you've known someone (or at least thought you did) for so many years then it's easy to see why it would be met with rejection.

Pam euthanised her son because he was in so much pain. She did not kill him in cold blood......

I would be really annoyed if I was pam because Les has been lying to her for 40 years.

She's up there with the worst of them, E-B. Who knows what revenge she is planning for Les for lying to her for all these years. She killed poor Laurie for less. Shame and all, he was a top bloke as I recall him. Not sure about his nasty hypocritical son, though.

Nobody can really say unless it happens to them, but I would rather the person be HONEST to begin with, or before it becomes OFFICIAL, at least

I'm pretty sure Les was part of that aswell

I think I'd probably feel the way Pam seems to.

In time, I can see Pam being the one to support Christine and stick up for her husband.

As others have said I think its the lying and keeping it secret from her but being comfortable as Christine around Claudette for years rather than the actual cross dressing that Pam has found hardest to accept.

For me I think id really struggle, if it was a case where my husband wanted to dress like a woman on more "permanent" basis I think it would end our sex life forever. As horrible as it sounds I find the male form sexually attractive.

If I started to dress like a bloke, clothes hair the lot then I think my husband would run for the hills!

Pissed , you lie to me about a huge part of yourself and can't bother to talk about it with me , instead you run off to a friend and create more of a secret there .

Shocked. As others have said more of the betrayal of another woman being the confidante rather than the dressing part.

The fact he went on secret holidays with Claudette is the worst. Complete emotional betrayal.
