Can anyone please let me know if the Tab 4 can download onto an SD card?
I know apps cant be directly downloaded onto the card but I want podcasts to download directly onto the memory card. The program I am using mentions about Kitkat not able to do this but would like to find out of this is the case with the Tab 4.
My old Ace 4 phone can do this but its software version 4.4.4.

Hope someone understands what I am trying to achieve. If it can't I wont bother buying it.

Pocketcast is probably one of the best podcast apps available and I used that on kitkat and was able to download podcasts direct to sd card. Even on kit kat you will be able to move some apps to sd card aswel through Samsung application manager in the settings. I think the 8 inch version of the tab 4 has lollipop now.

Thanks Gavo. I am using Podcast Addict and before that Doggcatcher, both of which are fine and do the job well (had to dump Doggcatcher as it kept crashing my phone).

Still debating whether or not to get the tab 4 due to the kitkat issue. Not sure if I can justify as well an extra £50 for the 16gb version and think 8gb is a bit on the mean side given that the OS takes a chunk of that before you even start.
