How has Jack managed to the sell the pub to this new family? Have I missed an episode where Jack bought the pub from Darren? As I recall when the Osbornes got the pub back it was Darren and Nancy who purchased it not Jack and Frankie.

Jack however does still own the house the Roscoe family live in and is renting the house to them. The writers seem to have forgotten this though. Surely the logical thing to do would be to evict the Roscoes and move back into that house after selling the pub. Instead Jack is taking out another massive mortgage to buy that grotty rundown house instead which will cost thousand to do up to a liveable standard. Not to mention they are all now out of work. And this is somehow meant to solve his financial crisis.

I don't know why they didn't just sell the Roscoes's house or move in there themselves instead of taking out another mortage. It's just a plot device to enable the new family to run the pub. Its just as contrived as Nancy's money woes a few weeks back, which were so severe that she willing to accept stolen money from Robbie. When there is no reason why she should be in debt considering she has a well paid job, doesn't own her own home and lives with her former in laws who also help take care of her children. She probably has some inhertiance from her wealthy dead parents too.

Yeah I don't get it either, I thought Darren owned both the Roscoe house and The pub.

Darren owned the pub after taking Seamus Brady's winning betting slip, so that was a huge plus (although Nancy who thought Darren was wrong to do that decided to sell Becca's flat to Patrick and give the money to charity, ignoring Charlie who would rightful own and need that money, just to make Darren feel guilty), owns the Roscoe house, has his own taxi business and not long ago sold the Loveday flat.

Nancy for some reason is allowed to work at the school, lived in the pub and would have a lot of child care and Darren helping out with money for both Oscar and Charlie.

What are these people doing with their money?

Jack and Frankie now have no jobs and a house that needs a lot of work.
