Coronation Street 1976 - Gail's soliloquy
Just happened upon this funny but ironic scene of Gail from 1976.
Some of the things she says are so funny given all that we know she's been through since! It's also unusual for Coronation Street because it features a rare moment of a character sharing internalised thoughts through a voiceover. The show was quite 'experimental' at times in the 70s. |

"The only thing you'll have to look forward too soon is marriage"- Six of em!!
![]() ![]() ![]() Interesting clip, seeing into the thoughts of the character. Here's another clip from 70's corrie where Gail goes a long time on screen without speaking |

"What's gonna become of you Potter?"
You'll be living in a converted garage with a dead body stuffed down your manhole
