He's good at posing, but it was just barely a dance.

Greatly overmarked.

Posing while walking is quite a feat, considering the music was inappropriate I thoughts e did well.

I thought it was very good EXCEPT his upper body shape wasn't pronounced enough. Chest should've been pushed out more and arms back further. That would've made it look a lot better.

I thought he was excellent - compared to other male celebs in the paso

Best dance if the night for me. I thought it was quite a bit better than almost anyone else's dance tonight.

I liked his shaping and he was butcher than I thought he could be.

If anything he could have got a mark or two more.

Well I thought his foot work was beautiful. It didn't look like walking to me.

it was much more than that, but darcy picked up on something i've felt about him from the start, its all a bit clinical, a bit self aware.

like watching an excellent waiter in action. knows your every need before you do and meets it efficiently, but completely without you noticing them.

Not enough shaping. Decent enough otherwise.

How was it interestingly different from walking?

At most, it was 'walking with attitude' (and posing). It wasn't dancing.

It wasn't just walking but I did think it was a little over rated.

Yes, I thought that.

did you watch his hips and waist, the movement from them?

I thought it was excellent but I agree that he should have demonstrated far more strength and positioning in upper body

Well what do Matadors do besides parade about and strike a pose (apart from stabbing Bulls I mean)

Totally disagree - undermarked in my view

Perhaps I've forgotten too many of the others, but I can't remember any from a good dancer that seemed so much like posing while walking.

I thought some of the dances were marked more by what the judges believed about the celeb, rather than the dance. So Katie and Anton got very low marks, because they believed she struggled with Latin; Jay got high marks because they believe he's a good dancer.

I thought it was terrific and preferred it to Kellie's actually.

If he'd been acting the part of a matador in a film, rather than dancing, it might have been great. But he wasn't.

But it was "The Bull's Bollocks!",
hot water for the judges
What would Mary Whitehouse have said??

I don't mind Jay, and I know he is the pet in some quarters, but he was really stooping at times at the beginning of the dance and the judges don't do anyone any favours by not pointing out where they are going wrong (yes, I'm talking about you Peter Andre).

Jay is still one of my favourites, but there was a lot tonight that wasn't quite right.

But that's the beauty of Strictly because I thought Helen was very much overmarked
