Strictly NOT your favourite couple regardless (that's a whole other poll) but who danced the BEST TONIGHT?

Anita for me. I thought her tango was brilliant. Really loved the choreography and the slick, stylish feel to it. It's annoying she made a mistake as I think she would have got her first 9's if she hadn't, but still, it was a great dance.

Jay and Aliona. Not biased. I was dreading this dance but it was way, way better than I expected. A close 2nd Anita; That tango was really good.
Lots of gapping in Helen/Aljaz QS.
Kellie flicks and kicks didnt look sharp at times and some of her movements unfinished.

I'd say Helen, Jay and Anita were the best tonight. Helen just edges it tho as I think she has the best performance. Anita didn't really perform, that make up was obviously there to mask that. But she's not an actress so I know it's harder for her.

Alps honourable mention to Kirsty that was a huuuuge improvement.

Anita, Georgia, Jay and Kellie for me. I've gone for Kellie just for the tremendous energy she showed. To be honest, I didn't think anyone was truly outstanding, and Helen was a little over-rated in my opinion.

Helen & Alijaz for me, although I voted differently!

Voted Jay and Aliona as my favourite, but Anita and Gleb' s also VERY good.

Jay and Aliona and Anita and Gleb - Thought he did a great paso for a male celebrity and loved the contemporary feel of Anita and Gleb's dance

Anita and Gleb were amazing. Best dance of the night for me. They deserved to be higher up the leaderboard.

I also really enjoyed Georgia's routine and Jay is always fantastic.

The big surprise was Kirstie. Wasn't expecting her to dance that well. And I loved her dress!

For some reason Helen is always over marked an over rated.

Compare the content of her routine to jay walking around posing and she wins hands down for me. Helen second , excellent routine . Re Anita, great over all look re make up and wardrobe for once too .

Jay and Aliona. Normally hate paso, but loved this one. Tough choice, because Anita and Gleb's tango was great, too.

this was a tough one - I absolutely loved Jay and Aliona (I'd never heard of Jay prior to this year's Strictly, not being a fan of 'boy bands' I was predisposed to dislike him but he's won me over!), but Anita's tango was just superb. The marking has been way off but if either of those two is not in the final I'll pickle Len's walnuts!

I didn't love any of the dances. Probably Jay tonight.

Anita and Gleb topped it tonight for me, with Jay and Aliona second, who in my opinion, were undermarked tonight.

Anita and Gleb. It was a great tango.

Jay and Aliona were great too.

Really didn't get the praise for Helen or for Kellie. They were good dances but not top of the leader board good.

Jay & Aliona, he's the only dancer I want to rewind and watch his dance again. I think it's thanks to Aliona, her choreographies are amazing this year. I wasn't sold on the song for the Paso at all. She did say on ITT that it would make great Paso and she was right. That song looked like it was written for this dance, she aligned her choreography with the music perfectly, she used every accent in the music to do some accent in the dance. I don't think it could get better if they used a traditional "circus" music for it I think that Jay's posture could have been better as Bruno so eloquently pointed out, but it had again had this addictive quality and I might have watched it a few times already.

I also liked Anita and Gleb very much, but I preferred Jay. Kellie and Kevin looked great in training, but the actual dance left me underwhelmed a bit.

Several good performances tonight to choose from - Anita & Gleb, Helen & Aljaz, Jay & Aliona, but I voted for Georgia & Giovanni. They're the dark horse couple now as far as I am concerned.

Honourable mention to Kirsty & Brendan for a great VW and if they go home this week, it will be after dancing their best routine.
