So, for that reason, she should go out tomorrow OP?

Just asking, because the fact that you do not find her "feminine enough" must have some relevance for you to mention it on the SCD forum...

True. I thought she was dainty and feminine in her foxtrot, as required. Her jive, less so - but it's a jive so no need. She's a little abrasive for me, but not unfeminine.

I don't think she's unfeminine. Feminine for me is starting to mean luffly and frilly and batting one's eyelashes (among other things). I think Kellie can do that in spades.

I think she's a bit dominant/overpowering. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, I think - try and tell her something she doesn't want and she'll have your head off.

All of that said, I do sort of see where the original post is coming from.
Kellie is a pretty woman who should be able to do a soft, romantic performance. However, at the minute she seems far too intense for that.

By the way, what do people think "feminine" really means and does the word have a place in today's world?

Kellie isn't one of my favourites, but I find threads such as this, which take personal pot-shots at the celebrities, very unhelpful.

Thank you and goodbye.

... Kelly is a lady, who likes to do ladies' things.

I find screaming and trying to get your face in every camera shot not very lady like.

Maybe the bitching should be confined to one thread?

Yes, that's a good question. Can you be strong as well or is it just about leaving your personality at the door, smiling and looking pretty?

No. Why not contact the Oxford English Dictionary hierarchy and have it struck from the records forthwith? Also the word 'yesterday' as this has no place in today's world either.

Well that's a good question. I actually used the word feminine, in passing, when talking about someone else in another thread, and I regret it, because as you imply(?), unless we're using it in its biological sense, it is a bit of an outdated concept.

Sorry if I offended but it's my opinion and her lack of femininity gets in the way of her dancing. However, I understood that this forum was for OPINIONS!!!

In order to avoid touchy subjects would someone please compile a list of things that are 'fair game' for discussion in this wonderfully PC country?

Didn't like her jive at all, she looked ungainly, Jack Lemmon was more feminine in Some like it Hot when he danced with Joe E Brown

Yes her lack of femininity hinders her ability to dance gracefully - the screams etc also dont help what I'm saying! But I appreciate that screaming has no bearing on dancing so I didn't mention that. Kevin looks daintier than her in dances IMHO.

In that case. I'm glad Flackers isn't on this year's strictly or my posts would be severely limited

What? Dancing on this programme is between a female and a male. A female dancer needs to exhibit feminine traits is some of the dances as it softens the presentation, feminine meaning ,like a female, stereotypically, soft, graceful and being led by a male.

Does this mean you're not feminine either then?

Think that the likes of Anita and Kirsty are good examples that it is possible (and both women in her age group).

Kellie is probably not helped that the other women in the competition are all very feminine (even the oldest women, which usually is not the case).

Probably hanging out too much with her onscreen hubby
