But that's because they can't see it's their meddling that has caused the ratings problems. You'd have hoped by now they'd have realised that excessive meddling nearly always has a negative impact on ratings, but I doubt they'll ever realise this.

There are probably meetings going on right now to decide which extra twists, surprises and format changes they can force through for the rest of the series.

"Our meddling has ruined the show, what else can we meddle with to help save it?"

Its gone the same way as BB. They don't seem to realise that ratings were much higher when they had less manipulation and faked drama. Instead they just think 'ooh, lets add even more fake bollox. That'll get the fans back'

Meanwhile SCD doesn't fix what ain't broke and manages to maintain high ratings for a decade.

There is a pretty obvious lesson to be learned there if TPTB actually get their heads out of their backsides and small the coffee

agree with you on Bupsi but Max was amazing IMO he has huge potential it's just whether XF ruins him that's all

I really like Max. This guy can actually sing and will hopefully sing songs that aren't sung by everybody else over and over.

Bupsi is s mistake though. He should have picked Jennifer.

I think what they've done this year has actually produced less tension. The live begging is tasteless and lacks the genuine emotion that comes from one to one conversations. A failure in every respect.

Yes, the Judges' Houses used to be a nice interlude between the auditions/boot camp and the live shows. The contestants were treated quite well and shown quite a lot of compassion and undestanding when being told their fate. Now it's just gratuitously nasty and cruel, worst of all being the addition of the moronic baying mob. Not pleasant viewing at all. to put it mildly.

The most irritating part was how dragged out it all was - the begging, the other judges giving advice, the 10-second thinking time, the 30-second gap in between revealing each act.

Just show the damn performances then reveal the Top 3.

The sad thing is I know the producers engineered all that thinking it was brilliant, edge-of-your-seat TV - when it only annoyed the clean shite out of me!
