I think they tried to stretch the show out for ad revenue and make it more suspenseful and possibly try and avoid spoilers since it's live, but this whole thing has failed miserably.
The new selection structure is not exciting, there's no emotion, it's not edge of your seat viewing, and it's complete car crash telly. Judges houses decisions should really be made like before, at the judges houses.
X Factor keeps getting worse (not to mention the blatantly heavily edited voices/dubbing from the judges houses) and it's because Simon keeps entrusting the same rubbish producers who clearly ran out of ideas many years ago.
