PLEASE don't group the also-rans together again!

Tonight was painful. My issue was they have six arguably 'strong' celebrities - Anita, Georgia, Helen, Jay, Kellie, Peter - and they grouped them together, three near the start (performance slots 1, 3 and 4) and three at the end (performance slots 10, 11 and 12) meaning slots five to nine were filled with the stragglers who cannot dance to the same level. This meant the inevitable criticism and lower scores took some of the feelgood factor away from the show and made it drag, for me anyway.

They need to split the Big Six up throughout the show; if they all get through (which they should) maybe in slots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 11 rather than grouping them together. I think it'd at least liven the show up and not create such a negative atmosphere.

No way are they going to "waste" their big six on slots 2, 4 and 6. I know what you mean but it isn't going to happen.

Don't worry, a couple of weeks on and it won't be nearly so much of a problem.

You say that but tonight Georgia was on first, Anita third and Peter fourth.

I guess it depends how long the Big Six survive in tact - we're due a shock result really.

Did you know that Fudd is a very rude word in Scotland? Might be handy if you let Bruno know.

Yep, only one of which was 2, 4 or 6.

So I learned... belatedly... though the rude word only has one D. That's my defence and I'm sticking to it.

OK, how about 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11?

That's odd.

Ignorance is no excuse.

Literally. At the end of the day, it's meant to be an entertainment show but there's nothing entertaining about a bunch of celebrities lumbering about the floor, struggling badly with either dances that didn't suit them (Ainsley, Katie) or dances where they made mistakes (Jamelia). When there's a struggle there should be an up tick but there was none of that tonight. I guess the plan may have been for Jamelia to make another breakthrough and it didn't exactly go to plan.

Second is the spot of doom often . You don't get slots like that usually , unless someone has decided your sell by date is nigh.

They are trying to get rid of the poor dancers before they get to their real casting problem - which is that only 2 of 4 really good females can probably make the final and
the two who go out will be credible winners with the right dance. There's also the Anton issue that he should win on half his dances and not survive on others.

I believe it is iniquitous to group the also-rans together. We should distribute the also-rans so even the ringers can pick up a trick or two from the infirm, the inept and the generally hopeless so everybody has a chance to unleash their Inner Duffer. We should call it Comprehensive Come Dancing.

It worked for Jay last week. And Kellie this week though the judges didn't notice.

At this stage they never put the best dance in the first half. Any couple that dances last goes straight to first or second on the leader-board...
