Exactly, season 8 had the highest ratings of all, it's I think down to whoever is at the top and louise rainbow has to be fair made SCD worse, not better.

Yes but they were OVER 2 MILLION viewings ahead of X Factor last night.

I've not watched X Factor full time since 2013 (my favourite series, but even then SCD was better ) and I watched the beginning of 2014 and didn't like it so XFactor have lost me as a viewer.

I think ratings for most programmes have gone down over the years. There are so many more channels now, as well as more choice of how and when you watch. The important thing is share of audience, and the lead over X Factor is quite impressive whatever the numbers.

I think there's more of a likelihood of SCD getting the NTA this time round.

I have not watched x factor since they did that horrible chair thing the other year as I thought that was going too far in humiliation - one minute the act was good then they weren't - but it sounds like it is getting even worse now

Good! Pull the plug on X-Factor

I dare you to go and start a thread on the X-Factor forum

That would cause friction, I've made threads that have caused friction with the forum and trust me you don't want to go down that road as if it were.

NTAs is an ITV show and very much promoted on ITV shows, IE vote for US! so BBC shows do not stand a chance, whereas BAFTAs are true to the viewing public.

I have in the past, it's the truth.

So how did Mrs Brown's Boys, Eastenders (three awards) and Bake Off all win this year?

Where there is a stand out BBC show and ITV doesn't have a copy to promote the viewers will vote. On the three quoted EE is the only one ITV has a similar show. MBB and GBBO are in a class of their own as there so good.

If you watch shows like This Morning they endlessly plug they are in a category.

It's not just about the ads. X Factor was a total mess yesterday.

It's been a total mess for years! It was OK(ish) at the beginning - at least after the first series - but has been going downhill for ages.
