As for the Aldi doc - great ratings. Perhaps ITV should do a supermarket doc series.

Fantastic for Dispatches, and looks like it boosted SAS which with +1 could be close to it's high of the first episode.

Shows are certainly starting to pick up heading into the Christmas period which is good.

I didn't say there wasn't, just pointing out saying that Z-Nation exists because of a deficiency of TWD is silly, it's quite the oppsite. See also the slew of Zombies films being made at the moment.

The share is awful for a Monday.

I wouldn't get too excited - the share was still comfortably under 30%.

Of course it will pick up some viewers on darker colder winter evenings - as everything does to an extent - but the problem isn't going away, it just masks it for a bit.

The equivalent episode last year pulled in 7.19m (31.5%), so EE still down by at least 10% at the moment.

Let's not forget - TWD is a zombie show. It's not like they reinvented the wheel. There's a tendency to overpraise it just because of the ratings. Long stretches of seasons drag and go off at tangents as if they're embarrassed it's essentially a show about people getting bitten by monsters.

I like both but lately am finding Z Nation a better watch.

Hugh's War On Waste would have been a 4/5m show away from Doc Martin.

TWD can be slow and tedious at times, for episodes at a stretch. It's not unreasonable to suggest Z Nation exists as a cartoony response to the slowness of that show.

Apart from ITV of course.

Despite the BBC factual series there again deing a default option with nothing worthwhile from ITV, I'm pleased it did well. Maybe it will get some people to stop being so wasteful and think about what they are throwing away. Although I suspect the main target for this influence were not watching.

As ratings seem to be picking up, I;m hoping IAC gives us a stonking rating this Sunday and one that will give us two 10m+ shows at the weekend.

It's rather your opinion that TWC is tedious at times, I find it builds character in the long-run, hence why I believe it's a great show.

I have nothing against Z-Nation, and clearly it's becoming more comic, but TBH I think that's because they know they can't compete with the budgets and gravitas of TWD. So they've been forced down another route.

It's all up to your own preferences I guess.

We're in November and EastEnders hasn't had an overnight over 7m. It has had some higher Monday ratings in the Summer.

I'm not impressed by this rating. I couldn't care less how Emmerdale and Coronation Street are doing, EastEnders should be higher by now.

Plus the well had run dry for series about vampires, werewolves and witches.

Cut it out, will you? Rob isn't going to say it's a fantastic rating for EE when it's not.

You seem to believe that just because shows add a load of viewers on timeshift these days, the overnights barely matter. So why are you here on a Tuesday morning anyway, when all that's going to be discussed will be overnights? Ash vs the Evil dead is a much better and lighter show than Z-Nation, and quite possibly a reaction to TWD, rather than just a rip-off, the idea was around many years before obviously.

Channel 4's SAS show is rating better than the similar BBC2 show with Freddie Flintoff a few weeks back. It's getting 2m in consolidated

Oh, yes everything's cyclical no doubt about that, I love The Hunger Games, but quite frankly if another Dystopian Sci-fi franchise starring unfeasibly attractive young people starts up, I think I'll cry, after about the 33rd of them.

Just realised DS has made it harder to find older ratings to see how shows are doing y-o-y. You literally have to scroll down through every week and wait whilst it loads more articles. You can't just change the link to go back 13 pages which was roughly a year.

I can't tell you how annoying that's going to be for me. Off the scale. I wish I'd dumped some of the key data into Excel now to make life easier.

So it doesn't matter how the other two top soaps are doing of course it does there all competing and are compared to each other. So let's just scrutinise one soap shall we that's fair isn't it.

Corrie hasn't been brilliant ratings wise recently it seems to of been harmed since the rugby re scheduling last Friday's second episode of cs equaled ee' s figure.
