Do we have a breakdown for J&H yet?

i just wonder whether there was a "switch off" by the "family audiences" after the fairly scary opening scenes and a recovery later once the littlies had been put to bed!

K
We do.

This is the ITV breakdown including +1 for Sunday from 6.30pm

Code:
18:30 - 3.35m (16.2%)
18:45 - 3.35m (15.9%)
19:00 - 3.36m (15.6%)
19:15 - 3.39m (14.8%)
19:30 - 5.13m (20.9%)
19:45 - 5.24m (21.5%)
20:00 - 7.41m (31.3%)
20:15 - 6.82m (29.2%)
20:30 - 7.11m (30.0%)
20:45 - 6.65m (27.9%)
21:00 - 7.93m (34.4%)
21:15 - 7.51m (33.8%)
21:30 - 7.71m (35.2%)
21:45 - 7.39m (35.3%)

I know posters have said that the breakdown for J&H is remarkably consistent, but actually, you'd expect it to grow across the hour, particular as it hits the 7pm junction. You can see that the share of viewing declines.

Having said that, not a massive drop off, so it should return with those numbers or similar next week.

I agree with the first paragraph, it could be just a coincidence that the audience remained stable, with deserters replaced almost exactly by new viewers.

I'm not sure a stable breakdown is in any case a firm sign that those viewers will return, I think we've seen big drop-offs for episode two of dramas that were stable throughout transmission in week one.

"@crouchendben: October 11th - XF consolidates at 9.01m ave: 10.1m peak. Highest consolidated Sunday of the series to date."

A bit of good news for ITV and Mr Cowell this morning. They'd be stupid to get rid of the 6 Chair Challenge despite the negativity. It's surprisingly done well.

Some small crumbs of comfort?:

New drama #JekyllandHyde began with 3.4m/15.7%, but higher than avge Shares for adults 16-24 and 25-34 @itvstudios overnights.tv
No numbers given though. How much higher than average? I've asked Overnights.tv on Twitter.

What's normally in that slot? News then LE?

From Broadcast:

"However, despite being billed as a family drama, Jekyll and Hyde did not entertain a young audience, according to Barb data provided by overnights.tv. Some 66.2% of its audience was aged over 45."

That doesn't help us much with the 16-34 skew.

Overall J&H was just two share points above slot average - that's terrible.

Shocking for XF.

Good for Countryfile and SCD. I still don't get how a recorded results show can get these numbers but hey-ho!
I think it gets those numbers as its a very well produced show, With a lot of thought gone into how we can make it an entertaining show and not just a bunch of results.

Ouch for ITV. J & H is something I plan to watch but I recorded it as 6.30 on a sunday is not a great time to sit and watch something for me personally especially if it has 'dark' themes.

Programmes starting before 7.00 always end up rating lower than starting at the magical 7.00pm time slot so putting a new show there was never going to get great ratings.

A consolidated peak figure quoted after 14 days? Gosh that is really scraping the barrel.

That will disappoint a lot of people XF turning out some really decent figures 😄

Christ alive.

Dismal start for Jekyll & Hyde. I'm not completely surprised but I had hoped for better. Such a shame as it was pretty good as well. I dread to think how low it will go from here. ITV will be gutted. It's all well and good talking about the scheduling but with that low audience I doubt it would have done much anywhere.
I think your right. A bit later on a weekday might have been better but you cant see it doing much more than say 4m even there and the truth is with the soaps they would hardly have been complimentary anyway.

Homegrown fantasy tv is nearly dead in this country. If Beouwolf fails and DW takes a year off it will be effectively dead.

Figures just out show that the Sunday 18th show also had 9.01m inc +1. I wonder if the Tweeter meant to say 18th (Broadcast mag confirms the 11th did get 9.01m.)

I am thinking that The X Factor troubles might become even worse as they head into next week and their live shows, There is a reason they are not having many of the live shows and i am sure its not just to save on the budget, although it looks like they have not spent as much this year ( I wonder if Dermot and Louis asked for a pay increase )

Viewers might not want to follow these contestants as much this year, and its also A Countryfile Special and also The Big Halloween Strictly Special next weekend which i cant think will help the Xfactor much.

It's safe to say yesterday's rating won't beat that. They used to talk about the overnight ratings as well.

The X Factor is still on as it gets decent ratings they just can't crow about them like they used to.

Last night won't get anywhere near 9.01m. The series was going reasonably enough, but this weekend has been an absolute disaster and I honestly think they've blown the entire series with it. Last night's rating is shockingly bad.

You can't say Jekyll and Hyde wasn't promoted. Billboards, trailers in most ad breaks on ITV, ads in papers. Must be slightly disappointing that it wasn't closer to 4m after all of that.

And to think the doomsday crowd on this thread continue to predict its cancellation.
Why axe something that consolidates to 9 million? It's ridiculous!
