Despite IAC being another ITV show down YOY. What a surpise, given so mant factors were against it, a share of 44% for Sunday is spuerb. However the 1st ep did not cpature enough viewers and so drop over 1m for the next day. Yes it will consolidate over 10m for last nights ep, but 8.7m is still dissapointing. Escecially when you see SCD pushing 10.6m

ITV have screwed themselves over for 2 years now, loosing viewers every year. 2016 has got to see a change, or this drop will just continue.

But given IAC lower opener, I can see the final topping this.

I think most people have always thought that the ITV strategy of concentrating on their big hitters and looking somewhat barren in between would eventually bite them on the bum and the last 2 years have seemingly underlined this. There are clearly other things at play as well though. Still BGT & IAC are still great ratings wise.

Yeah it was/is the stupidest strategy ever, but that the problem ITV has when not many people know anything about making varied tv shows.

6.4m for the football last night.

Thanks Mike.

A big football match and 5m still switch over for the news on BBC1 at 10pm. Sadly with the latest news from Paris about another siege I think news audiences will continue to be high.

I expect the pre match coverage will have rated better than they usually do, although once the game started, I expect the usual figure you'd see for an England friendly.”

I thought it was all dealt with very well. Also very pleased there was no commercial after the anthems.

ITV's News at Tom suffered from being pushed back to 10.15, tonight it's on at 10.30. Not often we see a breakfast show in the top 25 ratings.

Even then in the past people would stay on the channel and watch the news afterwards. Only happens with certain shows on before ITV News At Ten nowadays.

The data shows there is a positive switch-on for BBC News and switch-off for ITV News.

Why do people keep pushing this idea that ITV News at 10 (10:15 actually) should be rating well with football as a lead in . It's one of the worst lead ins they could have with the majority of viewers switching off as soon as the match finishes. Plus with a later start time people will always go to BBC One at 10pm.

My point is that it never used to happen until ITV mucked about with News At Ten. The brand was so strong that people stayed on the channel to watch. It happens on BBC1 when the 10 is delayed for sport.

There is an audience that seeks out News At Ten on BBC1 regardless. ITV's News At Ten had that loyalty in the past.

No 18million for the football then

due respect to Great British Clay Potter Off, doing almost 2 million, I didnt think it would do that well. As for the football there was a game last night? was this planned or something organised quickly?

A strong night for BBC two.

I'm a Celeb Now! got 0.63m (2.8%) by the way.

Personally thought it might do slightly better than that with the main show off air, but not a bad rating by any means.

It only arose because of Tom Bradby bragging in The Sunday Times about how he was going to change NAT and spinning one programme (which was in the middle of Skyfall) to claim he had personally increased the audience by half a million. It has plodded along for years now with about 1.5 million, it's known at ITN as News at Tom.

Neighbours to air in the UK on the same day as Australia from January. Should see the ratings rise further...
