Jeez some people are overrating over eastenders it was out of time-slot and many watch in Iplayer and catchup. It will be up today. I agree though this year has been bad, I can't believe I am saying this but I think DTC is worse than Kirkwod/Newman.

Brave shortened to 85 minutes, and the whole schedule moved 15 minutes earlier, as I predicted.

I'll update ITV shortly.”

How dare they copy my schedule from Gallifrey Base? Solid schedule there. And ITV's looks alright as well. Thanks Neil for alerting us

The reversal of fortune is worrying -I think their risking more unnecessary long term damage to a show that's already struggled to win back the viewers they lost between 2011-2013. Perhaps all the early praise DTC received made him and the BBC complacent?
If Alex Lamb takes over which is likely then I think fans will have to resign themselves to the fact the show is f****d and watch with low expectations, for laughs or just switch off.

Sunday the 27th ITV will just be flattened. BBC1 will pull the majority of the older audience and keep them all evening.

Yes we know all that. The core point that was obvious to all was what I was agreeing with.

But yeah, thanks for breaking that down for us like we're all idiots. Really added a lot to the thread.

We never forget that because we get reminded every single day.

And a Merry Christmas to you too.

I wasn't the poster who made three errors in one short post.

And I agreed with his essential point too, so your petulance is misplaced.

Was last years The Queen's Garden good enough for them, that they feel the need to place another Queen related programme at 3.10pm.

So CTM finishing at 8.45pm. The BBC attempting to dent DA so viewrs stick with EE?

Personally I think the schedule for BBC1 looks strong all week and ITV looks thin for content with YBF popping up far too often.

And yet Coronation Street can still manage to be top soap out of slot on a different day.

The BBC have altered their schedule to aid ITV for three years. If ITV don't want the two dramas to clash, the sensible thing to do would be to shift DA to 8.45pm. Its up to them. I hope the BBC stick to their guns, especially after the ITV team constantly airing EmD against EE all year. The ball is clearly now in ITVs court, but who will move first?

I can't see ITV doing well at al this Christmas on any day. Looks like Bergg's bad scheduling will continue into 2016.

That's the point really. Coronation Street is out of slot, on a different day and still manages to be the top soap of the day. Why are people more likely to skip the broadcast showing and catch up later when it doesn't happen that often for the other soaps?

Scheduling is part of the problem, the other part is EastEnders itself. Just like Doctor Who. Something with the show isn't working the way it used to in terms of viewers.

What do you think are the key factors driving viewers to lose interest in EastEnders?

The difference is coronation street is much stronger than eastenders. Also emmerdale was on so they might have helped corrie.

So bar DA pretty easy really. When EE gets its usual bounce at Xmas, it will be fine. The befit EE has is being in a strong schedule from BBC1.
