Thats a bonus for BBC considering their upcoming documentary on the club.

Trailer for it is terrible. I predict a BOMB once the initial opening curiosity abates.

I had been looking forward to this, but the more I find out the less I think I will.

Abbington is an actress I can't stand even with Malteser adverts. Still she must have great talent to land a role in Sherlock!!

I think this is going to be similar to how the new version of The Bill was.

still I'll watch it tonight with an open mind, or try to. LOL

Was it a record overnight launch last year, or was that the year before? Either way, they're really milking it and who can blame them?

Well they did say they would be increasing the hours of IAC. Would that suggest more celebs taking part?

People need to realise that the BBC only make limited trailers for limited shows and only have a set number of trailer slots.

In those slots they have to advertise shows on BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, BBC Four, CBeebies, CBBC, News, sport, radio, I player, general BBC campaigns like Children in Need etc etc.

Running ads for EastEnders in every available slot is probably low on their priorities.

No that was 2013 when it got 12m.

At least you didn't add what's the difference between a magician's wand and a policeman's truncheon? The punchline is def. unrepeatable on here!

Just an extra half hour on launch night.

They can run the trailer they do now with the time on it. They did that during EastEnders live Week. This is not difficult. The explanation doesn't work with me.

It was 2013 which had the highest rated launch. Last year's launch was the lowest rated since 2009, yet still averaged 10.07m (41.2%) exc. +1. It did face War Horse last year, which averaged 5.05m (19.7%).

It's unusual we see an Attenborough series on a Sunday night, but I'm not convinced that The Hunt is going do well given the opposition.

An hour longer than most episodes in this forthcoming series and 20 minutes more than last year's launch.

Those schedules aren't confirmed till Monday, mind.

Thanks to you and H. Yes, I now remember being impressed that War Horse did so well in the overnights and it clearly dented IAC.

The Hunt is also good counter-scheduling but it's going to struggle to get 4m I think.

OK but it might help if they give the actual time of the programme in the trailer

Amanda Abbington and Ashley Walters from Cuffs are appearing on the hour-long One Show. The promotion no doubt helped DIY SOS the other week, could do the same here.

Abbington confirmed filming of the next series of Sherlock begins in April. Not sure if we already knew that.

I'm a Celebrity is a beast. So I am not surprised they have increased the length of launch. But longer shows tend to most of the time dent shows.

I predict IAC to launch with 9.5m overnight with it consolidating to the high 10s and to average in the 7.5-8.0m range overnights (around 9m officially).

Yeah shame about the ratings I would of expected higher though even being on more4. Maybe it's because it's been off for two half years maybe ?

Actually I would have been half tempted to run War Horse again against the IAC launch.
