Gave it a miss last night because of little Mix, can't stand them. I suspect they had a load of teenage girls watching last night.

Yeah it was funny, although Keith lemon is just cringey when hes trying to be funny and hes not.

Oh dear. Perhaps EastEnders should have just clashed with Emmerdale at 7:30pm. Mediocre.

Not helped by the pointless trailer, not even mentioning the out-of-slot time for yesterday or tonight. Fully expecting another mediocre figure tonight.

Unforgotton looks low - does that include HD etc?

These two should be good, I just wait for the " shock/horror/ storm" headline in the daily fail, re the parallel with current issues in the Northern hemisphere.

I don't know how it all works myself, but surely the EE press dept need to be putting more pressure at HQ to run more promos, include times if out of slot and push hard the storylines in promotion. They've only got themselves to blame for figures like that.

Any figure for POG For the Love of Dogs? Looks like EE may have been dented by that.

There's an interesting contrast as an out of slot Corrie didn't do as bad -now was the out of slot Corrie promoted or is the difference a reflection of other things?

Or it could just be that the audience are just not interested in another fake gangster storyline with Phil rushed into hospital AGAIN !! I am finding it pretty tedious to be honest.

Well Corrie didn't have a trailer for a start. I can't confirm this but I presume they mentioned at the end of Wednesday's episode that it was on on Thursday. ITV usually are good at that.

it is bizarre how they run trailers and don't tell you what time the programme is on - I wonder if this is a deliberate policy to try and kill off EE ?

Maybe Mr Whittingdale has cut the graphics budget?

Why should prople rely on trailer's when they have tv guides and epgs?

That is pretty dire for EE. Prett poor for Corrie as well even being out of slot, not ba for Emmerdale though. So close to be being top soap (and so it should be based on quality).

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this BETA thing on DS. I cannot see articles on the main page it just says 'this page has been bought to you by 404.'

Its awful.

But how are we best to interpret this?Does it mean that the importance of trailers and promotion especially when a show is out of slot is greatly overstated and not that important? Or that its a reflection of a differing baseline audience (loyal audience if you like) for the different shows or that
east
#enders is currently losing its mojo and is below par quality wise and hence people aren't bothered about watching or missing it?

What is likely to be the main driver?

Love of Dogs held up really well against EastEnders with 4.2m (20%). Less than a million between the two.
