It night just scrape past the episode two mark of 3.7m, if it's lucky. It didn't exactly perform brilliantly with a Britain's Got Talent lead out looking at that list so people couldn't and shouldn't have been expecting anything more from it.
What else could they do? I guess they could have put Celebrity Chase on against Pointless but then what? They might have just sacrificed the Harry Potter films (eight films, seven weekends before Takeaway, doubled the Deathly Hallows up in the 'final' weekend) this quarter safe in the knowledge they would have The Voice next year but they don't have the rights.
I hope Beowulf shocks everyone with a storming rating tonight but I'm not holding my breath.

People can't say ITV aren't trying with quality television... specifically Sunday's... but equally people aren't giving it a go either.
