If anyone's interested in what this was like to put together, the many challenges they faced before and during filming etc, then I recommend it. In fact anyone with an interest in the TV production process will like this article:

Sure to be down I would think on Friday, with First Dates competing for the same demo on C4, but hopefully it can stay above 1.2m at least.”

I think if it can retain a good chunk of the CBB audience, it'll get renewed but the real question is whether it can survive without CBB since it'll on its own for the last four episodes.

I've read that AMC Global are launching The Night Manager on Monday 22nd February. Given War and Peace finishes on the 7th February and the BAFTAS are on the 14th, I think we can assume that BBC One will schedule The Night Manager for Sunday 21st February, the other possible slot is Monday 8th February after Silent Witness finishes but I think that'll go to Undercover.

Very happy about this, I do like her show. Will be ice to see how it does, but I can;t help thinking it would be better schedule around 3pm/4pm on ITV2 and not surrounded by rpt's of poor US comedies.”

Didn't Really broadcast the series at one point?

Episode getting slated in reviews in media. Even for CBB being seen to have crossed a line exploiting reaction to death of DB.

Second Series verbally agreed for The Tracey Ullman Show following the first episode getting 3 million viewers.

http://www.theguardian.com/media/201...ey-ullman-show

They just need to get the contracts signed.

However I'm unsure as to whether the muted 5 or 6 million viewers (as per the article) in peak time would actually be there if scheduled at 9pm or up against the soaps.

Meet The Parents

Can you find the perfect match by only meeting their parents?

Meet the Parents is brand new dating show for ITV. Single guys and girls are paired up with the help of the people who know them best - their parents.

From love lives and ex'es to school reports and awkward teenage antics, nothing is off limits.

Presented by Holly Willoughby, Meet the Parents is dating like you've never seen it before

Tickets are available now from The Applause Store

What were people claiming the other day about Endemol taking a moral stand?

Angie sold an exclusive to a newspaper just days ago saying she'd deliberately avoided any contact with David Bowie for 40 years and hadn't seen their son since he was 14.....are her tears for herself or David Bowie.

Those who enjoy CBB must like exploiting the vulnerable, how many times have they had housemates who are only signed up because they have major money problems...Jo O'Meara is one that comes to mind.

Who gives a stuff as long as it boosts the +1 ratings....

Yes it did.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show has had quite a busy time of it over the last 8 years or so. It was on Five Life (now 5*) when that launched for a year or two, followed by a stint on the now defunct Diva TV, and then after a gap of a few years Really picked it up.

All three channels did not renew the rights, citing low ratings.

I guess the hope here would be that ITV2 is a bigger channel than all of the above, so has slightly more chance of making it work. But I still expect it to be a ratings failure, so if you're an Ellen fan I would make the most of it whilst it's around.

The Mail only has a 24.9% share in the Standard, the main shareholder is the Russian
Evgeny Lebedev who has 63%

If that's with +1, I expected more to be honest.

Glad it did well, does that include +1?

It was indeed brilliant. I can't believe people are banging on about it being disrepectful to David Bowie - the entire episode was about something completely different, there was virtually no mention or focus on his death.

The Broadcast app is slow to update this morning, still has yesterday's data, so I can't post any ratings at the moment.

We might have to wait for DS.

Also Bowie had a great sense of humour, it's almost certain he'd be looking down laughing saying "what a bunch of idiots"

Scratch that. Broadcast has updated and it seems the figure overnights.tv posted for CBB in fact excluded +1.

Good ratings there for Eastenders and nearly a million viewers ahead of Emmerdale.
