Birds of a Feather pulled in 4.2m (18.2%); +1: 142k (0.6%) for the corresponding episode last year so a definite improvement there. Though it was against Watchdog (3.9m) rather than Room 101 suffering from being out of it's recognised slot and with a Dickensian lead in.”

Still if it can be up YOY despte the easier opposition good for them. It was a good ep, so hopefully it stays closer to 5m.

Well it was an audience puller last week. I think the lower lead-in could have had a part to play.

Thanks mike

The BBC have got 5 news programmes in the top 20, so like las night when the eveing schedule falls, they still don't do as badly as ITV would have done.

Thanks Mike.

It's that sub 3m lead-in for Deer In Paradise. Room 101 isn't great and I wouldn't watch OT over Birds Of A Feather.

So did EE get 6.5m or 6.8m I'm confused! lol
Score

Jericho got 3.1m/13.7% with +1. Obviously not a good number but a good week on week hold.

It was a lot slower than the first episode though so it could drop further. Without DIP I imagine it would have been around 4m last night. A pity it has such tough competition.

EastEnders definitely had 6.8m. BBC1 was under 3m from 8-9pm. I know I wasn't watching then.

According to attentional, EE ran from 7:28-7:57 last night, so the tape-checked rating will strip out the 5 minute period from 7:55 and hence the difference in the reported figures.

My ratings are NOT tape checked, which is why the ratings are different (lower than DS).

DS ratings are for the transmission time of the programmes, mine are 15 min slot averages.

Why can't the BBC stick to scheduled times? Is it to give their programmes a head start whilst ITV are on an ad break?

I could understand them wanting to give Dickensian a head start to be fair given the ratings decline.

Although, when I checked Dickensian, apparently it started at exactly 8:00 as scheduled.

So there must have been 3 whole minutes of BBC ads between EE and Dickensian. Yikes!

So it only dropped 100k, albiet starting from a lower figure. But I suspect it'll be below 3m next week.

It will be interestng to see how much the 1st ep consolidates too.

More like EastEnders falling back again. Is the longest night over yet? Seems like less viewers were around last night compared to Thursday last week.
