Speaking of which that's a series high for Ninja Warrior. That's a pretty decent performance. Might have been close-ish during the 15 minute Voice overlap? Take Me Out is also doing solid business considering its full on clash with The Voice.
Speaking of which, a poor rating for The Voice. Looks like the new coaches aren't going down too well and the talent/editing seems poor this year. That's a massive year on year drop of over 2m! BBC1 will not be pleased. Even though they are losing it it is still a BBC1 programme at this point which they have paid for and those ratings aren't great. Obviously in the context of wider TV it is a great number but not for The Voice. For context, X Factor's second Saturday show got 7.5m. ITV obviously won't be thrilled either given that they've bought it, but to be fair they've bought the format not the show and I imagine it will be quite a different show with a different cast next year (more like the US show I guess) so they shouldn't be *too* worried about what happens this year as it should be a different prospect next year. Of course they won't be pleased though, although it still got over 2 million more than any of their shows last night so it will still help them.”

Surely solid but unspectacular ratings for their last series of The Voice is the best possible result for BBC

It's got a right slagging from Kevin O'Sullivan.
