This show could have done a job for ITV or C4. But it's great that Five have it, obviously. They need it more.

Tiny timeshift for the Voice...!!!

Great consolidated figure and well deserved too.

Neighbours also did well on Tuesday 5th, 1.85m (exc +1).

Bigger than many of X Factor's last year.

Isn't it more that its desperate to make a joke about something so trivial? It's not as if the new man in charge of ITV is of any revelance to any normal person outside of ITV and broadcasting.

It's like when Harry Hill makes tenious jokes in YBF to a GMB presenter - most people wouldn't even know what he's on about.

If we compare the shows the X Factor is still bigger overnight and consolidated. But both have done awfully. Adding just 0.75m from an already low figure is horrendous - deal with it. The Voice is practically dead.

A 2 million addition to Silent Witness is fantastic.

I know a couple of people who will be happy with the 6 million rating for Casualty

Not for any of the pre-recorded shows. Or actually, any of the live Saturday shows. Only more than the live Sunday results shows which don't timeshift much at all for obvious reasons (hardly any content and if you hear the result elsewhere then why bother).

I'd have expected The Voice to hit 8m with timeshift. Way down on X Factor's 9.61m launch.

Some big drama timeshifts though. It's so irritating that the ITV figures on BARB exclude HD but it looks like Ant & Dec added on quite a lot (should be comfortably over 7 million).

Not a great time shift for The Voice. Great for SW. Very good for CBB and LSB. We really do have a hit with Lip Sync

Might have been hard to get rights for UK version, with Viacom now owning Channel 5 (easier for them to keep it in house).

Delighted inept Peter Fincham finally leaving ITV after 8 long years.

Hopefully Lygo will be bold enough to think about restructuring the schedule.

Could ITV create their own version of LSB UK without it being a complete copy ?

Better off reviving Channel 5's Night Fever, though that would require a host as good as Shane Richie and celebs other than Shaun Williamson who are half decent at singing.

We really need top 30s for ITV HD and +1.

Amazing rating for Lip Sync Battle. I notice it outrated both CBB episodes that were wrapped around it that night too which makes it even better.


Agreed. The best thing to do if they insist on doing them separately would be to put columns with the numbers including HD and +1 next to the SD numbers, where the +28 day ratings are now (and keep those as well).

As you go down the list it goes from bad to worse, peaking with Celebrity Super Spa.

Since Viacom has taken over, 10,000BC and LSB hopefully mark a change for what we can expect in the future.

EDIT: "The Farm" still makes me shiver when I think back on it.

BT's Saturday lunchtime match didn't make multichannel top ten.

They don't insist on doing it that way, it's because ITV HD isn't a complete simulcast of ITV SD (neither is BBC One, but I think ITV is more so).

I'm not expecting anything to change before the next BARB contract, though that's just my hunch, which won't come into effect until 2018.

Here's hoping they cut down on the poverty porn docs with 'Benefits' in the title.

It's one hell of a number and crucially it's proof that C5, with the support of Viacom, can make entertainment work.

I think I have said this before but lower ratings for TVUK sort of suit all parties. BBC can say it was declining when the lost it and ITV can use it as an excuse to completely change anything they want. Having said that if it continues with these numbers its likely to be quite low when the lives come around and I think that must affect next years run to some extent surely - which is not good news for ITV long term.

So have ITV picked this up at the wrong time? Its sure going to be fascinating next year.

Night Fever was one of my guilty pleasures. I would love to see it return.

If the show was revived, I really think that it would work with Dermot. He has had so many years of having to deal with quite a few karaoke singers on TXF
