CBB is firing off all cylinders ... though the later eviction show doesn't appear to be retaining the viewers well - perhaps they should revert to the old format. I guess it's good for C5 as it's helping out Lip Sync Battle.

Shame about the ratings source drought.

BBC2 last night...

Mastermind: 2.15m (10.3%)
What to Buy and Why: 1.76m (8.2%)
Britain's Trillion Pound Island: 1.68m (7.7%)

The US version has the same issue when less famous people are on but I'm sure the time shift and YouTube views will be more than make up for the dip 😄

I'm certain it'll be renewed though because it was still comfortably over 1m and its beating First Dates

I think CBB peaked as far as this run is concerned last night. Losing a huge personality like Megan this early was a massive blow I think.

The second show pulled in an excellent audience share, and overall I think they will be happy enough wih how it's done there for it to become the norm for them to split the eviction shows and fill the gap with a half hour format like LSB.

It will definitely be renewed, yeah.

The figure it got last night was the kind of rating I was expecting for it last week given the usual post launch dropoffs we see with entertainment shows.

I expect it will go up or down depending on performers but the format itself seems to be very popular and they can better the names they got next time.

I doubt it has peaked yet, let's put it that way. And it will sit lovely on Comedy Central.

The official BBC Press Release states:

“Steven’s final series will air on BBC One in spring 2017 and there will be a Christmas Special in 2016.”

I hope Channel 5 commission a Christmas special with celebs singing Christmas songs as well as a second series because that potentially could do very well.

The Sun is mentioning Ant and Dec might go to Amazon once their ITV contract ends. If they did it would be a massive blow to ITV especially as I'm a celeb would collapse without them.

I would be amazed if that happened, they're live TV presenters, what use would amazon have for them? And they're ITV through and through, can't see it

The sort of shows Ant and Dec do don't really lend themselves to streaming services. I think they'll stick with ITV

It's nothing to worry about being as it runs from 10.30pm-11.05pm.

Complete rubbish. The fact that they present the biggest reality show and entertainment show plus other stand out programmes on ITV and have a contract with ITV worth £15million for 3 years, its so unlikely they would go to Amazon.

You can tell they love preseting everything they do ITV, and as they are happy where they are, why would they need more? What can Amazon offer, other than more money?

They also said on the NTA's, that they look forward to working with Kevin Lygo this year once Fincham departs.

or even better get Miranda's Generation Game into production - she has done a pilot but couldn't commit last year due to her tour and writing and acting commitments

I agree I prefer the 90 minutes format but to be honest that's a good figure for a late show. That share is very impressive.

I do like Miranda but I am glad that the BBC didn't go forward with that project. Whilst she can do clumsy, fronting a Saturday night show i feel would be out of her league. Possibly why they didn't go ahead with the show.

I guess we have Michael McIntyre's Saturday Night show to come. Although keeping the format and rotating the hosts might have been better. They could even have had Noel back for one night

All I can see is that they said 'who knows where they would go'. Presumably they will try and get as much money out of ITV as they can.

Whichever, they're only worth so much, and I wouldn't take out a monthly subscription to watch their shows.

Perhaps Ant and Dec are getting a little bored with doing the same shows at the same times every year.

There'll be no need for Takeaway next year, so maybe ITV can find them something new for some point in 2017.

They are worth whatever someone will pay them. I doubt they will leave ITV but if they are offered more elsewhere then they have a decision to make.
Would be a disaster for ITV hence they will do all they can to keep them.

I don't think there's any sign whatsoever that Ant & Dec are bored at ITV. Quite the opposite from what I can gather. They have said that they are very happy with their current projects and they seemed very grateful to ITV during their NTA speech. I think there's next to no chance of them leaving. They also said that they'd continue doing what they're doing for as long as the public want them to.

Given the massive hole they have on Sunday's since Dancing on Ice was axed, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Voice on Sunday's next year. I'd actually be more surprised if it wasn't.

Exactly. Live tv is their bread and butter. This is all a negotiating tactic.

I was watching one of their interviews after the NTAs on youtube, and they mention that they decided a few years ago to try and do something different, and that scares them every year, citing The Brits and the Prince Charles programme as examples of what they've done along those lines so far.

They say they were very pleased with how the documentary went down, and also that they have talked about changing certain things and doing things 'differently' in the future, whatever that means. But I would imagine that ITV would be very open to allowing them to try out whatever they wanted to do, so can't see the need for them to jump ship at all.
