Shame they never went for Chris Moyles, but then he has a personality.

Back to ratings hope BBC1 does well with that nature programme.”

Not a great variety of topics discussed on that particular Twitter feed.

Think he has joined another forum somewhere.

If anyone knows of where he posts now, I'd really appreciate a DM. Miss reading Samuel's contributions greatly.

Thanks for that, how fitting his most recent tweet is, of course, about that great ITV singing contest

They'd wind each other up so much nobody else would be bothered.

@theboywhoslept XF could have Cheryl cole naked on stage and the ratings would still drop. Nothing can save it

Yes I was just about to say he tweeted me saying he was not ADP.

Ratings thread back to its best after a few quiet summer months.

There aren't that many forums about TV & ratings surely, and he isn't on the other one.

My theory is that he had to leave the BBC to join ITV as the money was too good to turn down, and hence he now has to use a different name.

Or he realised that TV is more fun when you don't have to find the bad in everything, slate shows you actually like and praise shows you hate, just to keep the agenda going.

Anyone know how either Chelsea V Liverpool (BT, 12pm) or The Saturday Show (C5, 9:30am) rated yesterday?

Should get the former tomorrow I guess if not, when ITV Media updates. Just having a flick through The Saturday Show now out of curiosity - it needs time, clearly, and the graphics were annoyingly basic (is that the old C5 font they are using for the title card?) but has potential I think. Matt Barbet suits it perfectly as well.

Moffat says DW has another five years left in it: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/do...psPpTcXy5ZfpmZ

Be fascinated to see, if that's true, what they do about scheduling it. DW will surely have been deemed unworthy of a Q4 Saturday primetime slot by 2020 if its overnights continue to follow their current trajectory.

That means he's reading the thread but not posting, and after the recent X Factor ratings, including the one back in September, how could he resist....?

It all depends on whether the finale finishes all the storylines and all the loose ends are tied up. Usually the Christmas day episode is separate from the series and is in a unit of its own. We will see next week. If itv has any sense they will play the Christmas episode card as being the last ever of Downton on Christmas day and not to be missed. Even if the over nights on Christmas day are low,( which they will be with it being two hours long with ads, not a good move on christmas night to be having ads every 15 minutes for two hours), it will time shift like crazy and probably be one of the most watched show on Christmas Night.

He was probably counting down the days until BGT when he can still be on a show that rates well.

I think after last night he's probably aware that it's curtains for the series pretty much. He knows they ballsed up massively last week (he admitted it straight away) and are now paying the price.

This week was fine (although tonight was a bit flat) but it was too little too late.

Series six is yet to see a major death, and surely even Downton can't rush through both the death and funeral of Robert/Violet/Barrow in one episode It will be beyond silly if Fellowes has decided against ending next week's episode on a massive cliffhanger.

Its the scheduling that has had a major roll in the ratings drop for me. They cant continue with it whenever it returns in the slots they have been putting it.
But 5 more years of Moffat/Capaldi will please many on here !!

Well J&H was good tonight, but I bet it drops again, and those viewrs just float over to CF ans SCD.

This is the year, ITV's 60th year where the wheels flew off. Just have really shown their strength and impact as a channel.

Predictions for the morning? XF will surely be up. Next Saturday will be most interesting there. Will we ever see it in the 4's? What a fall from grace it would be.

Five years? With split series and gap years probably!
