DS is turning more and more into Buzzfeed every day. Shame

From Hassan on GB

Sunday Primetime shares
BBC One: 26.7%
ITV: 21.5% (+1: 1.1%)
BBC Two: 6.2%
Channel 4: 4.6% (+1: 0.6%)
Channel 5: 2.8% (+1: 0.4%)

So even with XF and DA on BBC still win primetime. That cant have happened much in previous years. Looks like ITV was dragged down by Jekyll in the 7 slot.

Shocking to see C5 so low on a Sunday. On a Saturday it's becoming normal with FLT dragging them down, but at this time of year Sunday should be their best performing day of the week. Which means the quality of the movies has gone downhill (with the exception of Peter Pan last Sunday, albeit just outside peak).

Even if Impractical Jokers doesn't rate particularly well next week which it probably won't opposite TXF, it can't do any worse than a repeat of Arachnophobia. They simply must do better on Sundays.

Whoa what's happening to the forums design?

The smileys are tiny and the forums are narrower... Oh god.

Is this going to be worse than when they removed rolleyes, sleep and yawn?

According to Deadline, ITV have said they will retain J&H in its current slot:

http://deadline.com/2015/11/itv-jeky...tigation-ofcom

The Guardian story discussed here last week also included a view from ITV that, to make shows like this an international success, they needed to make "a commitment to three series" (by which, in context, I think they mean a minimum of three seasons).

http://www.theguardian.com/media/201...v-sunday-drama

With the Deadline story saying that no US sale for J&H has yet been made, and the very poor ratings figures, the idea of three seasons must seem pretty unlikely now.

FWIW, I think the concept was always a big ask: J&H is, for many families, a horror brand (closer to Frankenstein than to DW) and was never going to be seen as remotely suitable for children to watch. ITV seem to have thought that fantasy and family TV are interchangeable, which funnily enough is insulting to fans of both...

Yes, a very good post.

Horror is not telefantasy. The two are totally different and you simply can't water down horror and make it work.

Time and again ITV seem to make this mistake. They made it with Demons and this one is looking like an even bigger disaster for them.

The question is this: If ITV hadn't suddenly decided that they were going to make dramas for "the international market", would they have ever greenlit J&H in the form that it is today?

The legendary Lew Grade's stock in trade was international drama. But his dramas were essentially "superhero" formats, like The Avengers and The Champions. They were also fresh, unique and bold. J&H just isn't.

I can't access it from a computer and only the mobile version works on my phone.

Horrible.

Try emptying your browser cache?

Which browser do you use? You could try Firefox or Chrome or something?

It's so narrow and weird and keeps flashing out of view.

In fact ITV2 is a near total BTTF list, bar Celeb Juice.

Thanks Mike.

Do you know what Jekyll and Hyde's rating was with HD and +1?
James J

Could Jekyll and Hyde work at 8.30pm on Friday?

Plonk Corrie at 7.30pm on Sunday before XF perhaps? That'd knock the wind out of Strictly's sails and maybe help XF, possibly, though it would likely affect CS more than SCD.

Hmm no, it wouldn't fit with IAC. Bad idea. It's screwed.

I don't have consolidated figures for ITV HD, guessing they've not released final logs.

No I mean for episode 1 on October 25th. Jekyll and Hyde makes the top 30 but not the ITV HD or ITV +1 top 10 so I can't workout the final rating.
