Hopefully those figures will keep DS's very own Mike Yarwood off here today, with his interminable gloating.

From Hassan (I'm assuming ITV includes +1).

Countryfile: 7.08m (34.2%)
Strictly Come Dancing: 10.43m (43.0%)
Antiques Roadshow: 6.57m (27.1%)
The Hunt: 4.46m (18.6%)

Jekyll & Hyde: 2.24m (9.5%)
The X Factor Results: 7.17m (29.6%)
Downton Abbey: 8.87m (39.0%)

at that Antiques Roadshow rating!

Irs a consistent 3 million gap between SCD and XF.
I wonder if Simon regrets those Peter Andre comments now

People need to let go of this, what did you expect him to say, "I think we're gonna do terribly".

Where did all of those extra viewers come from!?!

Maybe if Simon had not mentioned Peter Andre in a mocking way it wouldn't be used against him. A bit of diplomacy doesn't hurt.

If that's the average for SCD the peak must have been over 11 million

J&H just not working out at all.

As for TXF, I stumbled across the last few minutes and it was the usual script forcing something to Deadlock. We have seen it all before, apart from Louis being missing of course.

Stale and past it's best now. (I will probably get shotdown for that)

Of course he does, it was a mistake. He should have been targeting John Craven and Fiona Bruce. They're his real competition now!

J&H is not my type of show but it's never really been given a chance being scheduled against two big hitters.

It is and it was!

Used to amaze me that a recorded results show with the results already out there did so well. Not anymore. The majority of Strictly viewers don't search for the results and they just like watching the show anyway.

I wonder what kind of consolidated ratings shows like Strictly would get if BBC One did have a +1 channel. The numbers are better for XFactor this week but the share must be a concern, not getting even 30% of its timeslot, as opposed to Countryfile, which managed 34%

A number of the BBC's FA Cup games had no commentary either, and indeed no audio whatsoever.

So yeah, that was unfortunate for FLT, being up against ad-free highlights of all the FA Cup matches on the red button.

But yeah, I think we've established BBC One rates better than Channel 5! It was all about whether the 9pm slot would suit it better and the answer to that is clearly no.

HAHAHAHAHA!

Love it. Viewers don't give new things a chance these days. Let's just stick to the usual crap we've watched every Sunday for the last 8 years instead.

Hope C5 keep it there though. It didn't start well on Comedy Central either but it's grown every series.

The dramatic conclusion to yesterday's X Factor certainly did nothing for the spinoff show, as Xtra Factor mustered just 0.41m (1.7%).

Looks like ITV could have benefited from people tuning in for Downton Abbey as the average for X Factor until the last quarter was 6.57m and a 28.2% share

If you want to put it down to the show naturally gaining more viewers as the results show climaxed, Strictly's end of show ratings were only 830k more than what they had at the beginning of Sunday's show whereas X Factor gained nearly 2m as the show progressed (or as Downton got nearer)

And that that massive jump was for the show's longest ever episode, outside of Christmas specials, makes it all the more pleasing. Splendid, simply splendid. BBC One will have to come up with something a bit special to beat it on Christmas Day, you feel.

Exceptional for SCD. Joins Bake Off in the 10m club this year.

Respectable for XF, but a shadow of its former self. And an oh-so-predictable "shock" result where they take it to deadlock, knowing the result in advance.

Horrific for J&H. Those viewing figures seem to be the only scary thing about the series, not that I've watched it, mind. Beowulf looks to be far superior, in a very blatant Game of Thrones way. But as I said before J&H launched, I can see that struggling too. And where would that leave ITV's global drama strategy?

BIB - I have watched it, and it's a mess. The central concept doesn't work and I'm now guessing Fincham or Bergg must have realised that and so decided to burn it off against Countryfile/Strictly. Because there's no other explanation to how they've scheduled it. It's difficult to see how it could be recommissioned now …

Beowulf needs to better on all fronts to regain ITV's credibility. It's from a different team within ITV Studios … let's just hope Tim Haines has more of a handle on his material this time than he did on the ill-fated (and ill-conceived) Sinbad …

Nothing to write home about for XF really. Boosted by DA and still below 7m without the repeat.

Long running shows have being down lately in the ratings but not sure what will happen to IAC.
