An excellent figure (3.87 m) for the Cenotaph and a superb programme. This is the 69th consecutive year the BBC have televised it, starting in 1946.

Superb for Strictly and Downton.

Better for XF but it'll probably be high point/level out there if lucky.

I wont let go of it while I have a breath in my body !!

He brought it on himself shouting his mouth off and he now has to suck it up as far as I am concerned.
He could just have said he expects the XF to do well and be competetive without disparaging his rivals.

Glad X Factor is increasing slightly.

Amazing for SCD.

They might have helped launch the channel back in 1997 but the last time a Spice Girl hosted a C5 entertainment show, it didn't work as well as hoped!

Still, with this show it's more about who they get to perform on it anyway. And to be fair, Emma was the last thing wrong with Don't Stop Believing.

Interesting use of the word crap when you are talking about Impractical Jokers !!

It is cringeworthy/unfunny IMO.

Impractical Jokers is crap, didn't mind the UK version but the American version was OTT rubbish and I couldn't watch it.

The football league show will improve over time ratings wise. Initially I had no idea it had moved to Channel 5 until the first game of the season and I couldn't find it on BBC one. As more people find out its on there it will get higher figures.

But that's the point. Say what you like about the show, it didn't rate to begin with. Nobody can form an opinion on a show they didn't watch.

Impractical Jokers is great fun, but it's in the wrong slot and C5 will probably give up on it after two or three weeks even though it's taken 3 years for it to establish itself as Comedy Central UK's top rated programme.

Some performance from Sky Living's The Blacklist- 1.11m consolidated.

S2 opened with 980k. Refreshing to see a US import up year-on-year, because most have been down.

Think it will do really well. There seems to be an appetite for entertainment shows that are not contrived or fake. BGT,SCD & IAC will bring in big numbers as they are just simply entertaining shows.

No sign of Unforgotten - surprising and, for ITV, disappointing.

The UK version on BBC3 is good but I lasted to the ad break last night and couldn't take it anymore. Seemed tame by comparison and had an air of the frat house about it which just didn't appeal.

And two back-to-back is OTT.

Only because it didn't make the HD top 10, which is hardly surprising. Looking at how it did in the other tables I think it will have got about 5.4m (vs the overnight of 3.8m).

It's a classy production as always. And not long to go until it's Blackpool weekend.

What I liked most was the judges didn't pussyfoot around. Craig, Darcey and Bruno made their decision and Carol didn't throw a hissy fit. I guess if the X Factor tried that, all the suspense would be sucked out.

X Factor would probably benefit being on once a weekend. Especially as it was building up some momentum over Sunday nights.

Agreed. I think they should have aired on Sundays only this year, would have worked well.

Jekyll and Hyde shouldn't be on now. It's such a good show being wasted. They could have put it Wednesday at 8pm against Cuffs and it'd probably do better than now.
