I just want to share my experience of watching last nights X Factor in my local pub.

I was shocked and appalled by the pure hatred I heard expressed by other people in the pub about Seann Miley Moore.

"Freak", "Abomination", "Children should not be exposed to this" etc etc - all the more shocking when I tell you most of the people spitting such venom were in fact from a local church group including a vicar - perhaps the most hate-filled person there

I was shocked. I am not sure whether Seann is a transvestite, pre-op transgender or just an old fashioned fame-hungry attention seeker nor do I care.

Why can't people just accept Seann as a shining beacon telling the world "Be True to yourself and you will achieve all the dreams in your heart".

I cannot believe you are surprised at the vicars attitude! In my experience they are the most bigoted and judgmental people there is. Back to Seann, I think he is fabulous, though the baseball cap irritates me a little I can forgive that as he is so talented. People are always wary of others that do not conform, I dont doubt that part of him is attention seeking, but this is showbiz, all the others will have the same thing but maybe not be as obvious. You only have to listen to the "all i ever wanted" "it my dream" "I dont want to do a normal job" " I have wanted this since i was 5" to see that they are all in the same desperation boat. Seann stands out because of his appearance, IMO he has zero chance of winning this as a lot of the voters will be the same people as were in the pub with you last night, but I dont doubt he will get lots of work in clubs and venues in London. I would prefer a few years of regular work than 6 months of "stardom" Simon Cowell style, you only have to look at some of the past winners to see how they turned out. Winning is a poison chalice, with a couple of exceptions, people who have finished in the top few have done a lot better. Little Mix, Olly Murs, One Direction etc.

I agree with every word you said - but if Seann is lucky tonight I'm going to vote for him every week just to show support - that may sound unfair as it should go on performance - but I just feel strongly and want to show support

seeing as it was just a bunch of deluded old morons and not rowdy drunken men, did you not stand up and make a stand against what they were saying?

It's great you support him.

Just an FYI; he's not transgender, transvestite etc he's just a person that likes to wear clothing that he likes the look of. He doesn't buy them because they're either "mens" clothes or "women's" clothes, he buys them because they're cute clothes and clothing has no gender.

I dislike him purely on the grounds that he is a massive attention seeking tool - about as genuine as a 5 bob note

I'm sure Seann would prefer you vote for him based on his vocal performances rather than giving him the patronising vote for the way he looks.

I really don't get him. There are plenty of female divas around to chose from without needing to have a male impersonation of one. He just comes across as a major attention seeker to me.

That said, he's not hurting anyone I certainly I don't have any hatred for him, I'm more bemused that someone would go in public looking like that never mind on national television.

I certainly expect him to get through and he will probably do pretty well due to the whole gimmicky aspect of him combined with the fact he does have a good voice.

Makes Rylan Clarke look quiet and unassuming

Do we know why he talks an American accent despite being Australian

I couldn't care less what clothes/make-up he chooses to wear. I just can't be bothered with the histrionics. And he chooses songs that I hate by artists that I hate, which will irritate me no end in the live finals.

Is your pub the entrance to Goodnight Sweetheart? . No, but I'm not surprised tbh, I've heard my fair share of bigoted opinions about Seann as well, it's so unnecessary. I find him really unassuming actually, considering his flamboyant style.

With had Conchita, the winner of eurovision song contest who looks like a man and a women at the same time, he has a beard, long hair with a dress.

Now we have Sean who looks likes a man and a women at the same time. he wears a dress, bored hair with a baseball cap turned backwards like a gangster with flowing earrings.

What's it gonna be next year?

It's all good, it's about changing attitudes for the better, they are not hurting anyone.

The clothes he wears, I'm sorry to say, does kind of put me off him. He seems like a really nice guy though.

I don't care what he looks like. I love him singing and you should be able to just enjoy that without judging him by appearance.

My money is on him to either win, or be the loser who does best afterwards. He has a brilliant voice. Who cares what he wears?.

I really like him but know he will divide opinion.
It doesn't surprise me that some people feel like those you mention, least of all religious people.
I'm afraid I wouldn't have been able to keep my mouth shut and I would have told them how I found their attitude far more offensive than a male singer in a bit of make up and an individual choice of clothing.
