Did Simon do a Whoopsi?

To quote "ooh Betty" Frank Spencer - did Simon copy Frank's cat and "do a whoopsi" by picking Bupsi over Jennifer?

Bupsi may be memorable but lets be honest - she'll be lucky to be still around once bonfire night has been and gone?

She is a good performer but come on - who would buy her album?

Bupsi is this years Katie/Kitty who will be bottom 2 several times and saved over better contestants for the sake of headlines before being reluctantly binned by a weeping Cheryl when she ends up B2 against one of the chosen ones.
This years contestant most likely to end up on CBB or IAC

The show isn't only about finding someone who will sell albums. They always put through acts that are just there to be entertaining.

Shocking he chose Bupsi over Jennifer. Bupsi isn't even much of a joke act or remotely entertaining. As for last chance saloon as Simon has the overs surely there is room for more of these.

I actually thought Anton was the better joke / entertainment act. He sings amazingly but also is a tad wacky.

Shows how Simon is still stuck in the Wagner X factor frame of mind.. Poor show.

I genuinely think Simon eliminated people like jennifer and Ebru to help pave the way for a Girls category win as them two were the most likely to split the vote with the girls. Simon made it no secret he wanted the girls so he must genuinely believe the winner is in there and I think he cares more about who is going to make him the most money as winner rather than winning with his own category.

Think about it. Buspsi was his FIRST choice. Not his third. That says he was most sure of her as a choice.

That doesn't mean it wasn't a mistake. It was. But it wasn't some spur of the moment one. It was a deep rooted mistake related to him picking whoever the mob in that live audience screams the most about. He knew from past tapings who they do that for, and so those are exactly the three he chose, even though all three of them have huge negatives (Bupsi not being all that good a singer, Anton being horribly bug eyed and over the top, and Max being a charisma-free zone who the live crowd seems to be into for some strange reason, but it totally doesn't translate on TV).
