Every series there are just certain celebs that for whatever reason I feel unable to connect with regardless of how good (or bad) a dancer they may be.
This series its Peter Andre (just no connection or warmth from him at all) and Kirsty (looks like she can take it or leave it)
Any other examples from this or other series? I don't mean dislike, I just mean unable to care whether they are in it or not.

For me this series it's Helen, Kellie and Jamelia.

I think its the same for us all I feel the same with Peter, Kirsty and Helen yet feel the opposite about Anita, Georgia and Ainsley. I always support a dancer that dances well (to win) or at least someone who I love to watch dancing the most, but personality does come into it as well.

There are just so many that I don't have a clue who they are, those are the ones I can't connect with.

You would think the biggest show on TV would open the purse strings and get bigger celebs.

Actually the ones I've 'connected' with the most are the ones I really hadn't a scoobie about before hand.

Out of the celebs who are actually decent dancers I find Kellie, Peter and to a lesser extent Helen all difficult to connect with. I do however enjoy Helen's dances whereas I haven't found any of Kellie's or Peter's memorable so far.

I agree, I hadn't a clue who Jay was, and was all ready to hate him, and now to quote Bruce, "He's my Favourite!"

I feel the same....it doesn't really matter to me if I know them or not, as I feel you get to know them better on SCD anyway. Quite often with the celebrities I've known beforehand, my view on them has completely changed since SCD anyway. My connection with the celebs is dependent upon their dancing/performance/partnership/attitude - but all of it comes from the show itself.

Not so much this series (although I can't warm to Kirsty) but 2 years ago I couldn't connect with Natalie Gumede at all. Appreciate that she was a fantastic dancer but her performances just seemd too clinical to me to enjoy them.

Yes I'd agree about Jay, didn't know him at all but have warmed to him whereas other more "high profile" names just seem to lack much in the way of warmth or personality.

I don't get Helen or Kellie, it doesn't help that Kellie has Kevin as a partner...that guy gets right on my nerves...it's all about him, his sister is no better in ITT.
Jamelia I have never liked.

For me Helen (find her arrogant), Kellie (find her forgettable) and Peter Andre (he just annoys me). Jamelia is OK I don't mind her.

I really like Anita, Georgia and Ainsley just make me smile. I really find him such a tonic.
Jay and Jamelia are OK.

Can't connect at all with Anita (arrogant), Kellie (overbearing) or Georgia (personality vacuum).

Think that Katie, Helen, Jeremy and Jay have the best personalities this series.

Out of the 'good' ones it'd have to be Helen and Kellie. It seems that's not an unpopular opinion so no matter how talented they are I can't see them winning the show.

cannot bear Anita in fact switch over when she comes on

I deliberately didn't want to use the word dislike, that always makes me think of someone like Pamela Stephenson who seriously divided opinion. It didn't matter how hard Denise Van Outen tried I just couldn't warm to her even when she danced really well, it was a personality thing.

I feel the same about Jay, I'm not too keen on Helen either or Kirsty.

The celeb I just can't warm to is the universal favourite - Jay. I find him so dull and his face shows no expression. I can see no warmth or connection with the dance he's doing.

I'm not keen on Kellie or Kirsty either. Both love themselves too much to need me!

Had just about heard of The Wanted .. couldn't name any of their songs and couldn't pick them out in a line-up (couldn't pick any of One Direction out either .. except Harry ) so had no pre-conceived ideas about Jay but I've definitely warmed to him .. to the point where I can only watch him if a fire blanket is within easy reach.

I've not warmed to Kellie or Kirsty. Not sure about Anita .. wasn't a big fan before but she's not annoying me .. neither is Jamelia surprisingly .. I thought she would.

Have cooled down considerably on Mr Andre. He may be sincere but it comes across as fake .. all that stuff about the judges .. fgs!! Stop sucking up!!

I feel like this. I know it's unfair so I say little about it. I still can't figure out whether it's because I think Gleb is overhyped and not a good choreographer and being 'hyped' as something special when I don't think he is at all. I think it's cheap and lazy and attention grabbing.

I feel no connection with the pair, good or bad, it's just....empty...with some annoyance about her lack of finish, especially her clumsy feet.

I realise it's not completely rational, I'm trying to understand this disconnect.

I can 'connect' though, with dancers I seriously dislike, as much as with those I love.

Different outcome, but a reaction that is from the guts a.nd also my mind and knowledge

The ones I am warming to the most are Jay and Anita both really good dancers and really like their personality as well

You're missing out on some of the best dances then in my opinion. Interested to know why you can't bear her. What's not to like?
