Nick's unfair advantage
Squidgems

Don't you think that Nick should have made his three picks straight away just like Cheryl and Simon did and as Rita will have to do tonight.

Nick will not only have the audience's reaction to go by but he will also be able to read Twitter posts, forum opinions like ours and general chat about the show in the media. He may have thought he'd made up his mind, but like Simon he may be swayed more than he wanted to be.

He's told who to put through. This will have been decided weeks ago, if not before

Well if Simon and Cheryl had gone on YouTube views from 6cc then Bupsi and Mennon point would have gone home

Getting the boys category is an unfair advantage in itself. The public always back them no matter what. Nick doesn't exactly have it tough.

I agree it's not his decision. However, it does give TPTB time to check out public opinion, maybe particularly re Mason Noise fiasco.

Thats a bit unfair blaming Nick, he did say last night he would have preferred to make his decision then. No doubt timing issues were the problem, but with the raucous audience and having to give the news to the ones who hadnt got a place live, this was cruel and not good television. The final six of each team having to beg for a place was cringe making, thats if we could hear it for the loud audience. Bring it back to how it used to be (minus Louis, I like Nick).A bit of dignity when they are told whether or not they have got through is the least they can expect surely.
