iTunes wifi sync

Hi how does this iTunes wifi sync work it set up on iTunes and connected to wifi and plugged into the mains won't sync from iPhone 5s or do you still need the cable

Have to use cable once, then after that there is a button in settings->general when iTunes is running on computer and iPhone is on same WiFi network.

Yh I used cable this morning thought it might work through power without computer on has iCloud backup got to be switched off on phone tho and will it work without running iTunes on computer

Wifi sync will only work on a computer/laptop that is turned on and has iTunes.
What is it your expecting to do via wifi sync anyway?

Sync my phone instead of using cable

Leave your iCloud settings alone, it doesn't affect that at all. But the computer with iTunes needs to be on and running.
