Did Simon choose Max to avoid racial controversy?

He was right to put Max through and he will go on quite far in show. It was Bubsy that was an awful decision. Just stupid. Thinks it will give entertainment value above others which is a load of tosh because she will be out in first couple weeks.

Could be a reason, but I thought Max was better to be fair. Coming from someone who usually doesn't like those guitar type singers. I think he deserves it. Weirdly enough, I think he could be an underdog and someone the people would vote for. Everyone else seems so set in their way, arrogant or awful. Max, Che and Seann are the only people in the competition who are feel are singing songs they want to sing and not being pushed.

If Bupsi is the "comic" act, than she is the worst comic like act we have ever had. She is not good, but she's not awful or cringey (Jedward, Stevie, Wagner), she doesn't have a sob story (Daniel) isn't camp or wears flamboyant clothes to show eccentricity (Johnny), isn't cheesy (Christopher).

She's just a below average singer who shouldn't have gone through, she's not good but she's not also a novelty act.
