Natalie, with her extensive dance training widely reported and remarked upon throughout the series, would never have won in any series. The public don't vote for people they perceive as having previous dance experience (the only promotion of 'previous dance experience' Caroline had was a single article in the Mail a few days before the final).

I have another theory. I remember when the bloke who played Allan Bradley was attacked by members of the great (for great read insane) British Public because he tried to kill Rita on Corrie. People have great difficulty, it would seem, separating TV soaps from reality. They probably didn't vote for Natalie because she's the psycho bitch who beat poor old Tyrone up. And I'm not joking for once.

Natalie didn't win because people didn't take to her. If the public cared about previous experience then Caroline wouldn't have won.

Didn't she finish runner-up in 2013? That must have been one helluva inside job if the public didn't vote for her. Either that, or a huge alien vote.

I like weird Caroline wasn't widely reported as being a ringer until near the end of the show whereas Natalie got it all guns blazing from the off.

She topped the leaderboard so often that it could have been that she was bottom of the voting often. However in the final she passed SEB without any judges scores help, so I very much doubt her popular vote was very low!

I don't think that they do a final two anymore, haven't they for the past three years, had four people in the final, and after the show dance, 3 people, then the winner announced and the other two couples runners up?

Aleshas formal dance experience was zilch, kara was experienced but likeable at the same time.

I'm surprised about Alesha, to me she is one of the best dancers we've seen on SCD.

I don't think it was because she had dance experience (I loathe the word 'ringer') but that she didn't appeal to enough people. I honestly don't think anyone outside these boards cares if someone has had dance training, They watch the final and just vote for the dance they like.

Jay seems to appeal to people. Natalie didn't as much.

So why does jay appeal and not Natalie? Maybe because he is a young male from a boyband? She on the other hand murdered someone in Corrie.

Agree with most of this apart from the bit about people voting for the dance they like in the final. Judging by previous forums most people vote for their favourites regardless. I think they have already made their minds up who they're going to vote for before the final even begins.

You are joking but I fiimly believe this to be true. I am positive Natalie's character in Corrie had a detrimental effect on her Strictly votes. Most people have never seen her in anything other than Corrie and they judge her accordingly. And there's no point saying that the public are not stupid. Plenty of soap stars have suffered abuse in public because of their soap characters. Like it or not, the world is full of crazy people on many different levels.l

I think the finishing order will be 1 Jay 2 Anita 3 Kellie 4 Helen.

I'm not convinced, I am a massive Corrie fan and of course I disliked her character but I wanted her to win. I'm not sure the sort of people who abuse soap stars in public watch Strictly. They'll be watching XF

I hope you're right. However, you may be in touch with reality but there are plenty of people out there who aren't. As for those sort of people not watching Strictly. Read though this and previous years forums and then tell me that again.
