Opening apps/shortcuts in chrome

IOS9 and safari are so obviously incompatible that I have had to install google chrome. On my desktop I have a large mixture of apps and website shortcuts which automatically open in safari.

Is there an easy way to make these open in chrome?

iOS 9 and Safari are not incompatible. What problems are you having?

Here are some tips on using alternative browsers though:

The same thing that you have already advised me about, viz

There was a problem with the webpage and it is being reloaded.

Initially, the reset seemed to have cured it', but not for long, so I deleted a large number of apps with no better result, and then I installed Google Chrome, which is fine. Incidentally, the app said GET on it which I assumed meant that it was free, but there has been a £1.59 charge posted to my credit card which I hope is a one-off.

I have been reading posts on other forums and a number of people are finding that while IOS9 and safari work OK on their iPhones, they seem to be having the same trouble with iPad that I have described.

You shouldn't be paying for Chrome, something is very wrong there!

My other suggestion was a backup/erase/restore. You should find that iOS 9 is better on the iPad 2 than iOS 8 as it's less resource hungry. That said, the iPad 2 is getting pretty old now.

That was a guess about Chrome charging. Barclaycard hold recent transactions in one overall sum before they itemise them a few days later. I didn't recognise the £1.59, but perhaps Mrs A has been using her card for something.

I'm just a bit dubious of taking the action you suggest. Knowing my luck, I probably wouldn't have any files left. Thanks for your help.
