The chorus features Adele's signature soaring vocals as she sings, "Hello from the other side / I must have called a thousand times / To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done." Accompanied by a piano and drums for most of the track, which was produced by Greg Kurstin (Sia, Beyonce) and recorded at Metropolis Studios in London, orchestral bells and big, ambient synths fill out the sound during the song's last, swelling act. Worth noting: Adele is credited with playing drums on the song.

I have a feeling that people are trying to bash Adele for all sorts of things right now. They say that she can't play instruments and/or write music. That's bullshit!

Or that bloke in The Kaiser Chiefs who makes Ricky Wilson sound OK by singing all the lines with him.....

Whether she played the drums or not the song is doing alright so far - according to Billboard Mag it's sold 450k digitally in 2 days in the US
(the record for first week's digital sales is embarrassingly held by that Florida chap with 635K, so yet another blot on the musical landscape about to be obliterated )

Blimey, her label must be under serious cutbacks.
She might have to become a one woman show!

It's probably a bit like how Prince Harry played the tambourine on Gary Barlow's charity song Sing back in 2012. He hit the tambourine once, and then the producer of the track took that one soundbite and repeated it throughout the song.

Likewise, Adele probably hit a drum with a stick one or two times, and the producer took that soundbite and used it throughout the song where required.
