In the comics The Flash is far far faster than Superman/Supergirl
At top speed (Which if/When he goes that fast it "kills" him) he can run around the entire planet in under 1 second. But even his normal speed is more than twice as fast as Superman |

Not really no, it's doing fine and has been commissioned for a second season already.
If season 2 can't turn the show around, I don't think it'll get a season 3. |

I find they're much easier to enjoy if I don't sit an analyse everything that's going on and just accept it's a comic book based TV show with a limited budget and some sloppy show running at times

None of them are perfect, either in the DC or Marvel stables, all have their strengths and weaknesses but, for me, they're all hugely entertaining so the day they stop being that is the day I stop watching.
The problem is, when you have as many problems as Supergirl does, a huge number of potential viewers will simply see the show as too dumb and not bother tuning in. The obvious consequence of that is low ratings, which lead to cancellation, and then you will have to stop watching before it by your standard becomes less than hugely entertaining. And make no mistake, despite the show most likely being picked up for a second season, its head was very much on the chopping block. It didn't even get a full first season. So it's far better to have these shows produced in a more competent manner. Successful shows help the genre in general, and lead to more hopefully successful and hugely entertaining shows. It would be a shame for another poorly produced show to be another setback for female superheroes. |

Doing fine is a matter of perspective. CBS does things differently to the CW, and you need only go over to Facebook or other comic forums to see that the majority have a negative vibe toward the Supergirl show.

![]() That was SENSATIONAL. The best episode yet. It had everything in it, a full story and some proper serious gravitas. Not to mention some consequences. Very happy right now, that was just fantastic - the benchmark for all future episodes. |

What I find odd was her using her xray eyes....they don't seem to work through glasses.
Also this has bugged me for a while and I dunno if I mentionedit already, if Friendzone made the outfit she's currently wearing...we've seen it get thrown around and travel at super human speed, get blasted by god knows what and even act as a shield when involved in an explosion....how the hell did Friendzone find all that material kicking about the house when making her outfits back in episode 1 and how did he find a fabric material capable on Earth of doing all that, never mind in the house in a rush of outfits. If he has that kind of material kicking about the house he should quit CatCo and sell it to the military, hell why aren't all DEO personnel wearing uniforms made of it? |

An okay episode, however.... Kara reveals Supergirl to the world, she gets brought into the DOA to help them. Not once is she locked away. Hank/Manhunter risks his cover to help stop Supergirl, and he's locked away for his trouble? Huh? Quote:

That aside, I did enjoy the third act of the episode. The beginning was a littl cheesy but I guess that was supposed to be considering where it went later on. Middle was okay but felt I've seen it already with this show and the more recent bizarro episode. Ending was good, felt it picked up a lot once Alex and cara met in the house. Their scenes there and in the ER were good viewing. Repercussions are always good to see and let's hope they stick and aren't brhushed off within 5minutes next episode.
Good point about hank, especially as he is CO so when he turned I imagine most would be like "WTF do we do here, did bank just change and fly away?" Confusion and what to do before looking to next in command Alex for orders...nope none of that. He lands and theyr right on top of him with the cuffs. Was a bit "wtf" moment |

Very happy right now, that was just fantastic - the benchmark for all future episodes. Nothing Kara did was completely beyond belief, she simply became a twisted version of herself, the alien threat that Max Lord, Senator Crane and everyone else has been afraid of since they first found out about the existence of aliens. Melissa Benoist demonstrated once again that the casting directors absolutely nailed it in giving her the role of Kara Danvers/Supergirl with a thoroughly believable turn as the vicious and twisted version of herself. The absolutely beauty of this storyline though was, as both Alex and James said, that there was a truth at the heart of what Supergirl was saying and doing. I wasn't expecting Hank's secret to come out though, that was also superbly done, he's not willing to hide away from the world once his existence is known and I do hope (give next week's story) that things are resolved relatively quickly as having him on the sidelines is going to be a detriment to the show. The final scene between him and Alex was beautiful and heart breaking, he's been her father figure and has protected her and Kara since the death of their father, we've just never known about it until his story has started to be revealed. I love how they're doing that in pieces. Also interesting to see where they're going with Maxwell Lord. Looks like he might be on the path to redemption and, ultimately, being the difference in the fight with Non and the other Kryptonian rebels (they do really need to address why Superman wouldn't come and help out there though) - it's the big elephant in the room). Plus we get the

Again in Superman apart from the Reeves films where the suit is from Krypton the same thing happends in most versions his (Human) Mum makes it. They explain that his body has sort of a force field around it and anything within a about a millimeter or two of his body is protected. |

Loved the episode. Evil Kara was amazing. And I'm susprised to hear of the negativity surrounding this show? I think it's great, it started off pretty meh but soon grew into it's own.

I can't find a single thing not to like. But Benoist is just AMAZING - so glad there's a second season... Maybe people will come to like it? Or at least not hate on it so much. |

The actor who plays him is Melissa Benoist's real life husband so don't know if that will help him to come back.
