Sounds more Crisis on Infinite Earths than Flashpoint.

I thought someone said Flashpoint in another thread, and I've heard of Flashpoint before. What's Crisis on Infinite Earths?

Basically it's when DC had all the diffrent Earths merge into one Earth.

In that story Supergirl died (Came back later of course and new Earths were made) if they went with that they could twist it and kill Superman at least it would explain why he can't show up.

I would love it if they merged Supergirl's Earth with the Arrow/Flash Earth *and* used it as a way to get rid of the Superman problem.

Speculation doing the rounds Calista Flockhart won't be back for season 2, because people assume she is on far more money than the CW would normally pay for that type of part.

I don't think Clark's death would really be a moment, considering we've yet to actually see him, would a mere mention do him justice? Is it also wise to erase the potential to visit these other earths again?

Really complicated question coming up too, but if all these earths are merged, how does that actually effect cities, landscape, history and people. Do people suddenly have two (or more) sets of memories? Would cities (those that have been built differently) suddenly fall apart? Wouldn't buildings end up appearing on highways etc? If this happens, we know damn sure that it'll be overlooked.

From what I've read, it's more than she didn't want to move from LA.

That would be a pain. Hated her at first but with some tweaking to her character and some development she became one of my more liked characters by the end

Superman is finally going to show his actual face in Supergirl. He will be in the first two episodes of season two.

Link.

Will it be Tom Welling, or will it be someone new?

Well I'll be damned! If this is true though, and they stick with it, now that the show is literally joined in with the other CW DC shows there's a chance we'll get to see Batman at some point too. We already know he (or at least Bruce Wayne) exists.

I would prefer another casting from Tom Welling, otherwise you'll have people tying this up to Smallville when it really shouldn't be. Here's hoping some solid actors take the mantle though, and that they appear for a minimal number of episodes (otherwise the show starts focusing on them too much). There's always potential to bring the big names in for massive crossovers, or a new show in the future, but I wouldn't want them taking over the parent shows too much.

Interesting. Although I wasn't much of a Smallville fan, I actually wouldn't mind Welling, but regardless of who gets the part, it's a pretty bold move to make sure the show gets off to a strong start.

I hope Supes is there to give her a new chest emblem. In keeping with how both Arrow and Flash's costumes changed each season, I really want to see the yellow parts filled out next season. It just doesn't look right. It's like it's been switched off somehow, or like an unlocked videogame achievement.

Interesting.

I wonder if this has come about as part of the fallout of Batman vs. Superman's "failure", given that many previously assumed that Warner would never allow this?

Welling would be a bad choice, though. It needs to be someone new, not someone who played the role in another show.

While they like to have their tie-ins to previous versions of the Superman/Supergirl franchise I'd be incredibly surprised if they chose Tom Welling given that Smallville was wholly concerned with Superman's life before he became Superman and I don't think they'd want to associate that universe with their CW Arrowverses.

Plus Supergirl/Kara was in Smallville

Exactly, that was what I was saying. The Smallville universe doesn't fit into the Arrowverse

Perhaps Brandon Routh could do double duty - as Atom and Superman!

You joke, but if Supergirl is from a different Earth (which at the moment she is) and some people have dopplegangers, then there's nothing to say that Ray Palmer of Earth 1 isn't Kal El on Earth 4 (or whatever number Earth it is).

But are there any examples of Dopplegangers being another super hero other than the one they mainly are?

For instance has Barry Allen ever been Aquaman on another Earth?

Yes and no.

For example Earth 3(Evil) Wonder Woman goes by the name SuperWoman

She might go by the name but she isn't Kryptonian as far as I know.

I doubt whether dopplegangers will ever be another super hero, may be evil versions or alternative named and costumed versions of their normal super self.

Not that I am aware of, but I was only being half serious because Brandon has played Superman before. He does a great job (I think) of playing Ray though.

You'd think she'd just be called Evil Bitch.

Also for Season 2:

Spoiler
They're adding four characters to the show Lena Luthor (Lex Luthor's sister), Nick Farrow, Maggie and Snapper Carr.

http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/supergi...-for-season-2/

I've not heard much about Lena Luthor before and I guess Nick will (probably) be a new love interest to Kara.

Another sorry excuse for a love story on the horizon it appears. I had hoped they'd get away from this with the change of network.

I am intrigued though how suddenly they're talking about metahumans on Supergirl, and her meeting the Arrow and Legends crew. I really am intrigued how they're going to connect the dots, and whether they're going to end up with an Earth Jump ability, or whether Barry is going to merge the worlds because of his idiocy.

One thing's for sure though, if Superman and Supergirl now exist (or can exist) on Earth 1, there's no need for Star City to be under that amount of threat without external assistance.

I'm hoping it means it's the last we've seen of Blake Jenner.

He needs to stop riding on her coat tails and find his own show to waste his 'talents' on.

No she is still Wonder Woman from Themyscira.

Oddly she is not Diana Prince but Lois Lane.
