I didn't know that.

Carter has snapped up a recurring role in the CW-bound superhero drama as the president of the US

A big character to bring on screen though, however I suppose if the show producers are doing their own version of the Justice League, it stands to reason why that character would have appearances.

I don't think its a stunt casting at all

We don't know what age this interpretation of Clark Kent was when Kara landed, he could have been 18 to her 14 and he'd be considered an adult.
Even if you stretch her age to 14, did it really seem to you like her cousin who "had already grown up to become Superman" was just 4 years older? Does it seem plausible that this Superman, who had obviously been around long enough to be a thorn in the side of the DEO and the original Henshaw, was just 18? He had even been an established presence for so long that Jeremiah Danvers had become a uniquely qualifed expert on the subject of Superman.

Yep, on a show that had already stunt cast Slater and Cain, this was probably just a case of her twirling into the audition and blowing away all the other contenders with her spectacular acting ability and captivating screen presence.

Superman does have a far longer lifespan than normal humans though due to the yellow sun, so even though he is older than Kara, it may not necessarily show.

I can't believe people are arguing/debating the age of Superman. We're watching a show on Superheroes, and there's bickering about someone not looking their age?

Speaking of the Man of Steel, I'm curious. Now that he's (to be) established as a prominent character in the tv universe, I wonder whether he'll have any interaction with Barry and/or Oliver, being that he's more a supporting character on Supergirl.
In the comics, and on the big screen we have Batman; a character we're unfortunately unlikely to see on our tv screens (although we do know the character of Bruce Wayne exists). Still, a lot of the key points in Batman have phased over to the Green Arrow, and I wonder whether the relationship between Green Arrow and Superman will mimic that too. |

The only reason why I am returning is because Superman.
I hope he's not a dark brooding hothead like the current film version. |

Just spotted a compilation comic book in a local store of the early Daring New Adventures Of Supergirl.
One of the stories involved Supergirl being hypnotised, so when she was dressed in costume, her reflection showed her as Linda, letting her think initially she hadnt changed clothes. That might be a good one for future use, assuming they can afford the special effects for the mirror work. Or even the split identity, unless they're keeping that in reserve if Melissa ever falls pregnant during filming! |

Interesting to read that Supergirl will be the common link between all the shows in the Arrowverse as she jumps between the shows in December crossover event!

A photo of Supergirl and Superman in costume has been released online and he looks terrible in it!
Basically the budget version of Superman! |

Holy lens flares, Batman!!!
![]() Apart from the missing underpants, it looks better than I expected. I prefer it to the MoS costume, but still not convinced Hoechlin is the right guy for the job. They forgot the angry, red glowing eyes. I can't believe anyone at DC signed off on this

He looks like the Aquafresh superhero.
Absolutely terrible pic. They've also managed to make Melissa look awful, photoshopped to within an inch of her life. |

Basically the budget version of Superman! Oh my god! It is shocking!!!Who is the guy? He doesn't look like Superman at all and the face that he pulls in the pic? What is he doing??? I kid you not, it is awful! He is awful. I can't believe the execs at CW decided to release it to the public!

I'm still intrigued how Supergirl (and her entire Earth) is going to fit in here. Knowing what I know, I'm struggling to see how Flashpoint would merge Earths. I highly suspect that if they're going to merge Earth's, then something else will happen. This is unless they plan on keeping the Earth's separate, but enable a way for our heroes to jump worlds when the needs call for it. Quote:

As we know I don't like a clean shaven Tyler, however it looks like with the angle his head has been photoshopped onto the body, sure he will look better in the show.
I still don't like the darker suits for Superman but feel this suit has too much dark blue and without the underpants the belt should possibly be thicker to break up the colour a bit. |

You'd also think that Clark and Kara would share their logo design; looks like they've got a different one. ![]() |

I don't think its a stunt casting at all, it's a great choice with a recognised actress who already has a big DC Comics presence.
We don't know what age this interpretation of Clark Kent was when Kara landed, he could have been 18 to her 14 and he'd be considered an adult. Though no ages given, the actors portraying Jimmy and Lara Lane are 35. Lois is her older sister. Suggests to me, Superman could be 30 - 35. He just looks younger.

No idea, but if he sent her a new image, shouldn't he also be using it?
