I kinda wish they left the White Martian reveal a little longer I knew it was coming but in the comics it took years.

I didn't want them to take years of course but expected more than just 1 ep.

I liked the reveal of the White Martian.

It's gonna be interesting to see how J'onn reacts to this.

More scenes with Mon El and Winn. Their budding friendship is great.

They're definitely playing it that way, but then everyone on the show seems to play it kinda gay. Even Mon-El and the prince. Such a weird throw-away scene to spend that much of the effects budget on, if not to make a point of some kind.

But back to Lena and Kara. I don't think it's meant to be a crush. It looks like they're trying to re-create what Clark and Lex had on Smellville, but there's no real logical setup for it here. Unless Lena already knows or suspects that Kara is Supergirl, which could be interesting.

I can't say I predicted the Cadmus lady being Mama Luthor but i'm not surprised, makes sense to play it this way so we can contjnue to question whether Lex's sister is evil or not.

I think that scene was a complete fabrication, seeing as it was being described by Mon-El. Given the later description of the Prince as a frat boy of the worst kind (and his defense of that accusation) i'm fully expecting a later reveal that Mon-El was/is the Prince. It's a far more likely story that the Prince was sent away to safety than a frat boy prince thanklessly saved a guard. I would also expect someone who worked as a guard to be more inclined to get involved in a fight.

That whole episode read like someone's fanfic - Maggie suddenly being dumped, paving the way for Alex and then Lena turning up out of nowhere, practically asking Kara out on a date to that gala function.

As soon as Cadmus woman walked in at the end I thought ah here we go, Lena's going to do some version of hello mother.

Im pretty sure Mon-El is the prince as well, hes not given his surname away, and acts as if Mon-El is just his first name, he couldnt fight as well as you would expect for a guard, and he acts as though he has never worked, and seems to feel his parents let him down

Mon El has to be the prince. He just seems to be giving off that vibe and the scene with him and the other guy on Daxam was a little ambiguous as well. He's either concealing his royalty or he genuinely doesn't remember it. I guess time will tell.

Anyone else not loving the Jimmy/Guardian plot? It just feels really forced and it's obvious that the writers are struggling to give him anything meaningful this season to do.

Lena feels unpreidctable as a character and I genuinely like that. Her mother running Cadmus was a nice twist.

Alex and Maggie, the slow build up to this is fantastic.

I just skip past any scenes with "James" now. The sooner they can get through this idiotic sub-plot, and have him shipped off to join the rest of the Rejects of Tomorrow, the better.

Agreed, I think it's obvious he's going to turn out to be the Royal and he's going to have the fratboy storyline of not wanting to be a super and then something will happen to make him take up the role.

Agreed to all of the above, I get why they're doing what they're doing with James, he's seen everyone else go off and do something useful and he's feeling useless and frustrated.
Hopefully they carry on with the Winn bromance and make his suit be actually powered etc, and they give a bit more depth to the whole Guardian storyline.

Otherwise, I thought it was another cracking good episode and I wondered if there'd be a Luthor connection to Cadmus, interesting it's mum.

It's still a slow buildup to them actually getting it on though, it's been what, 3 episodes now, just because we clearly see what is going to happen it doesn't mean the buildup isn't slow.

The only thing that slowed it down was Alex questioning her sexuality.

Even Green Martian and White Martian relationship is slower.
