This is very tricky. I definitely think Anita, Georgia, Helen, Jay, Katie, Kellie and Peter are all strong contenders to make the finale. I’m least confident in Georgia and Katie making it that far so it’s down to the other five.

I would guess: Jay, Helen, Anita & Peter.

Helens odds are shortening of winning as are kellies at the moment, wheras georgia and Anita have the same odds, Peters odds are drifting as have katies. The problem with georgia is BBC I think give her an edit that stinks of garlic bread. I'm not happy that the crew are showing her that way and treating her and her supporters like dirt. It's not like she's bitched or anything and she liked an entry of mine the other day on FB which I felt recognised by. Think Joanne Clifton has liked an entry of mine as well.

I'm going for Jay, Anita, Kellie and Peter. I'm not sure about Helen being there for some reason. I can see her suffering a shock exit similar to Pixie last year.

Depends on who has the most social media mentions really, that's detriment to their stay in the competition. I wish the tweets were read out on #SCD just like #TheVoiceUK, that would tell us how celebs are being perceived.

Definitely Jay and Anita, and possibly Katie, depending if Anton makes the most of her talent.

For the rest, it all comes down to surviving Dance Offs. So Peter and Kellie will be there (unless they meet each other in a DO,) because they can beat anyone else (one because she's technically good, the other because the judges say so)

The final place is up for grabs between Helen, Georgia and Anita (sadly Katie is doomed.)
And whichever of those it is will probably finish in 2nd place, as I don't think either Kellie or Peter are all that popular with the public.

People read too much into the social media stuff. Last year Mark Wright had more twitter followers than the other three finalists put together if I remember correctly. He came fourth so while some of his followers may have helped him get to the final the didn't ensure he won. A sizeable percentage of Strictly's viewers probably don't bother much with Facebook, or twitter, and just vote on what they see and who they like. I don't get the fascination with social media and it's used enough by Strictly as it is.

Katie and Anton
She clearly has ability despite her party Latin performances. I believed she will dodge the Samba and her paso and rumba will be good. Anton has a massive following who will be voting more than ever because of Katie's ability.

Helen and Aljaź
Helen is probably more popular than we think as Call the Midwife has a large following and she's a popular character. Aljaź also has fans, plus she's clearly very talented. I do expect more shouts of "ringah" as the weeks go on

Jay and Aliona
I'm a little hesitant to put him here as part of me feels he peaked too early with the jive and subsequent dances haven't been as good - his quickstep was a mess and his paso although better wasn't as good as implied by some. Also were The Wanted that popular? I'd never head of them and my sister (who is more up on pop music than heavy metal me) says they weren't that big. However he is clearly getting a following and does have talent (male ringah! Lol) so I tentatively say I think he'll make it.

For the 4th spot I'm a little torn between Kellie and Kevin, Anita and Gleb and Peter and Janette.

Kellie is a BBC girl and we know that always seems to work in favour. She's got some talent but has she enough to make the final?

Anita is a surprise good dancer and has the "no previous experience" which will play in her favour. She also has Gleb who's frequent shirt removals are clearly helping her. I've heard a few different people not even remembering who his celeb is as they only look at him (sad). His choreography however is in my opinion marmite. Mostly referring to the tango which was quite contemporary and I hated it - as will others - but many loved it too.

Peter probably isn't as good as everyone expected. He's not bad but has flaws in each dance. He is popular and attractive which will get him votes but his dancing may mean he could miss out.


I think I'll go for Anita, and hope she gets there for her dance ability and not Gleb's lack of shirt...

Obviously I want Katie to win, mind.

Well i'd say Jay for sure, but i was sure of Pixie last year and look what happened.

Jay - won't lose to anyone in a dance-off (in the unlikely event that he's in one)
Peter - judges will save him over anyone else (except possibly Jay)

And then 2 out of:

Helen and Kellie both seem to be better at the moment, but Georgia and Anita are not far behind and may well, when push comes to shove, be more popular with the GBP voting them in. Katie has now done all her worst dances, so should go from strength to strength from now on.

In my mind the only definite is Jay. The other three spaces will be taken by three out of Anita, Helen, Kellie, Peter, Georgia, and Katie (if she doesn't do Samba). What I think it will eventually be is Jay, Anita, Kellie, and Helen, but I hope it's Jay, Anita, Katie, and Georgia.

Jay, Anita and...Katie, maybe? I think her spot is up for grabs though - maybe Georgia, Kellie, Peter (which I'm sure the forum would accept gracefully and with no bitterness ) or Helen if they have a strong public vote.

Jay is there for sure, barring a Jimmy/Kelly/Jade situation. I genuinely have no idea on the other three. Having Jay as the only male finalist in a series where they've now said a couple of times they want a male winner would probably make the agenda too obvious, but I don't see Jeremy being the first comedy contestant since Julian to make the final, and Peter's involvement with the show seems an after-thought : since week 1 he's got the same sort of scores and the same sort of mostly positive but not blowaway comments from the judges. That could all change but if he finds himself in the dance-off with most of the other frontrunners, on current form he'd probably lose.

Of the women I think Carol, Jamelia and Kirsty can safely be written off, but that still leaves 5. Helen is the judges favourite but I don't know about her ability to connect to a wider audience and she's by no means bulletproof in a dance off against Jay or Kellie. Kellie has a lot of momentum at the moment, and Kevin "Never In A Dance Off" Clifton, but seems to increasingly be Marmite, has the Eastenders Fatigue problem waiting and also almost certainly isn't on the tour, for those who want to factor that in. Anita is good and seems to be growing in popularity but it's hard to tell yet whether the Gleb Factor and how hard he's being pushed is a help or a hinderance. Katie is at her lowest ebb, but has a good draw coming up and a ready-made and likable storyline in "is this Anton's year?" (although I suspect with the advent of free online multivoting this is going to be less impactful than it would have been in earlier series). Georgia is a mystery - she could be completely passed over by the public or she could have exactly the sort of "juvenile soapie sweetheart" personality this show's voters have gone for in the past.

Again, outside of Jay, it's very hard to tell, but I'm currently guessing at Jay, Helen, Anita and CAN Management registering multiple e-mail addresses a week to power Peter to the end.

Have we been told that it's going to be a 4 people final like in the last two years? I hope it is and that TPTB are not planning some "surprise".

I'd like Jay or Anita to win, but I think any of those seven names you mentioned could make the final.

I agree that Georgia is probably least likely to make it to the final.

As for Katie, it'll depend. If she has another latin dance and ends up in the dance off that week, she'll be out. If she manages to avoid the Samba and has essentially got all her latin dances out the way, she should be ok.

I have a feeling that Helen is the most likely to get the "shock" early exit, although I'd rather it were Kellie or Peter, both of whom I find quite stompy and don't appear to me to be as good as the judges claim they are. (I don't want either of them to be the "shock" early exit because I them both irritating, honest )

My hope (which could easily change further down the line) is Jay, Anita and Helen making the final, with either Georgia or Katie.

Unless they wind up in the bottom two against each other at any point, forcing one of the couples out in a shock exit, I suspect the final will be:

However, the final I would like is:

Katie
Helen

Jay is a fantastic dancer, has a great personality and has virtually a million followers on twitter. He's in the final.

Not sure about any of the others.

I was surprised how many people turn out for Peter Andre's CD signings. I suspect it will depend on whether they keep a wow dance for the semi finals. With the right song and choreography he could just limp through.

These 3 bore me rigid but at least 2 of them will make the final.

Helen's a bit stiff in the Latin so if she gets one in the semi's it could all go tits up for her.

Kellie grates more and more as each week goes by. I'm not convinced she'll do the sexy latin numbers that well.

Anita and Gleb -If they get through it will because of women voting for Gleb and not her.

On second thought Georgia's dances gets more on line hits than the other women so she'll probably grab one of the spots from Helen and Kellie.
