Boys and girls didn't have to beg like the groups and overs.

I was pleased to see the begging section dropped tonight I hated that last night and I'm wondering if they had complaints.

They also had microphones. So at least they learned

They must have read our intelligent forum complaints. Accurate, though

A number of subtle, though impactful, changes were made tonight. Whilst I think this format is hideous, tonight's was far more enjoyable than last night's - it had at least 'some' dignity to it.

You were probably being facetious, but you might not be wrong. That begging nonsense was awful. It wouldn't surprise me if they read the fact that probably a solid 99% of their viewers saw that crap, were critical of it, and so they said "Right, let's not do that tonight."

Indeed. Saturday's live sections were embarrassing broadcasting. Sunday was better, although to compensate for not using as much live studio, they showed far too much of Saturday night (the boys) again.

Given how much experience ITV have of doing XF live, I'm surprised Saturday's show was so bad. Not just the format, but things like people missing their cues and microphones being off when people were speaking (unless that was some sort of skulduggery, wouldn't put it past them).

I'm glad they dropped the begging. The show was a bit better, I think Nick Grimshaw comes across as very sincere.
