Production teams wages?
Tall Paul

Guys and girls, I'm wondering how much the production crew get paid and that? I'd say a pretty high salary really. Just wondering, that's all.

Quite frankly I don't think it's anyone business but their own. Working for the BBC it probably means they are paid slightly under the market rate. However it will look really good on any future CV if they move on.

Is this post really necessary?

I am getting absolutely sick and tired of people trying to dictate what is and isn't allowed.

OP has been a prolific starter of threads here, hence the responses.

Yes as a rule of thumb the BBC pay less than other TV companies. I have a number of friends working for the Beeb as production assistants, editors, floor managers and one or two that are in support depts, legal, HR etc. There is always a high application rate for the BBC because of the prestige. BBC experience is very highly rated in the business aroud the world, so high demand for and low supply of jobs dictates wages.

My floor manager friend earns about the same as an office manager would earn in these parts and my lawyer friend earns about half of what she would in commercial practise, but is not expected to find clients and generate her own business.

So what? There's nothing in the rules that say we can only create so many threads a day/week. We're all free to do as we please.

Don't like the OP? Put on ignore.
Or, imagine this, just scroll past their threads

Every day this place gets more and more clique-like, with a pack of wolves constantly hammering the same posters over and over; so, whilst you say "hence the responses" - I say it right back at you with hence my posts!

Have asked for the thread to be locked, people on this site should realise I'm autistic with Asperger's and that. I care about how the show is run wheras some fans obviously aren't bothered.

Lay off the OP for ****'s sake.
a) he has stated elsewhere he is on the autistic spectrum and has mental health issues
b) some fecker has to start a new thread or there would be none
c) if you don't like a thread don't c!ick on it

In answer to your question Paul
http://www.televisual.com/blog-detai...l_bid-351.html

gives an idea from a runner on 15k to a cameraman on 35k to a series producer on 60k
The BBC print out the names of their staff who are on 150k a year most of whom are execs/management

so someone can claim an excuse and make everybody else suffer?
Do you think self-diagnosed excuses would fly in a work capability assessment, for instance?
