Am I the only person trying....................

Am I the only person trying to like the X Factor?.

The duo that replaced Dermot, have failed, due to their constant over-talking and repeating of conversation.

The way the six chair challenge appeared to go on too long.

Then this weekend's long drawn out program, thank heavens we watched in playback to we could fast forward.

As for Mr Grimshaw, who could fail to be disappointed at his pronunciation, ie ar-ist when he as a voice of the radio should be able to pronounce the word artist.

Because x factor has given us pleasure over the years, we are trying hard to continue support, but like a few others, feel that unless thought is given to making changes, we might change our allegiance.

They seem to think the audience loves all the anticipation, however, nothing could be further from the truth. I think the perfect format would be 4 hours of auditions, just in a studio. Then 2 hours at a boot-camp performing in larger groups to whittle down, then 1 hour to get from 12 to 6 people per group - still at the theatre the following day. Then finally a judges houses phase - 2 hours max to see all performances and decisions. (No live 6 chair challenge effort).

Then the normal live shows of voting where one act leaves each week without any wild cards or tricks.

X Factor is one of the shows that I'm always excited for every year so I always want it to be as fun and exciting as it can be and has been. I do actually feel there has been an improvement this year compared to previous years. I love the lineup, welcome back the old bootcamp format and am glad they got rid of the room>arena auditions which just felt redundant. But I do agree live judges' houses just felt pointless. Instead of saying a final goodbye to the rejected contestants, we just watched them walk off stage. It was a big anti-climax really.
