Jay seems to get on well with the other Wanted members - they might do a revival your.

or

He original trained for musical theatre - not specifically dance - so possibly go into musicals in the theatre

or

Be nabbed by the One Show as an occasional presenter

or

Join Burn the Floor??

(Didn't say if he wins or not as I don't think it will make much difference to his future career as he's made his mark - as John Sargeant did in a different way.)

Off the top of my head:

I'd like him to go into musical theatre but he'd need a refresher on the acting side.

I could also see him as a BBC presenter (as others have said the BBC pool of young presenters has got very thin indeed). Again he'd need to be sent on one of their intensive training courses.

I like his voice (even if two of the other band members hogged the limelight) and could see someone picking him up for a single release but I couldn't see that being a long term proposition for him.

Given the sh*t quality of actors on Eastenders, Hollyoaks etc I could see him joining a soap. He can't be any worse than Danny Dyer.

What I'd really like is if the BBC set up a drama focused on the dance industry (not something as corny as Fame or Glee). Someone like Jay could learn his trade in a show like that.

The sky is the limit . I am sure he will ( and is probably already in talk for a lot of them ) have tons of opportunities and I think that he wont go back with the Wanted.
A presenting job at the BBC would be nice; he is very personable , funny...he can also try to dance like others on various tours across the UK ( like Ali Bastian, Kara Tointon.... did in the past ) ; there is just SO MUCH more than he can do .

I can see him doing the Strictly Live Tour as a first thing...

and then possibly some musical theatre...

The Strictly live tour and then ... er, I can't think of anything he could do.

He's a good all rounder. I think he'd fit well into the BBC stable of youth presenters.

Make some money off the tour and then undertake a few media courses.

Personally I'd love the BBC to follow him as he gets his first role in musical theatre. I'm a sucker for stuff like that.

He's gorgeous and rather funny on ITT. I'd like to see him on my screen more often. He just needs some polish.

But a big fat NO to the Wanted reunion. The guy from the band who turned up on his VT gave me the creeps.

I think he'll dance again in some capacity, maybe as a guest in a touring show like Pixie has done this year. I'm sure a lot of people would pay to see him in a show like that.

I could see Jay being offered a solo record deal, but to be honest from what I've seen/heard I think he is probably a better dancer than singer. As a nice guy to boot as well though, hopefully great things are coming his way regardless of whether or not he wins the series.

I'd pay to see him in a dance show infact I wish the Strictly tour ditched the duffers and focused more on the better dancers. Jay could hog it all he wanted.

He has appeal to both young and old, I could see him in a Helen Skelton type of presenting / action man role.

There's a short window of opportunity for him if he doesn't head back to the US. He'd need to stay focused and hopefully has good management who can help him pick the right projects or hustle for the right projects.

He's a very handsome guy and very manly which not many young male celebs coming through are these days. The other guy from the Wanted in the SCD video looked like a little boy in comparison to him. I think he appeals to young and older women and men seem to like him too.

I agree he needs some polish for presenting but nothing a few weeks media training wouldn't sort out.

It's very hard to break into musical theatre but there maybe a production that would take a risk on him for the publicity and bums on seats. That would be the time he;d have to really focus and get as much training as possible to ensure that first role was a resounding success to help him generate momentum. It's not a pie in the sky ambition. He could certainly achieve this.

If he stays on SCD till the end he'll certainly get a valuable crash course in handling the media.

I think he'll do a solo career as he's a great singer or he could be a dance teacher I suppose

If nothing else he'll get a chance to audition for musical theatre roles. If wooden Tom Chambers could get the Top Hat gig then I'm sure Jay could get something. By the way I saw Top Hat and loved it even with a wooden performance from Tom. His dancing was good but I thought he was a better actor than that! Plus his singing voice was weak.

Jay has far more going for him than that.

I agree. Zero personality and obviously suffers terribly with nerves. Really can't see him doing CBB as some of the "personalities" in there would eat him alive.
