Whilst simultaneously solving the Middle East crisis and Global Warming, I shouldn't wonder.

By the end of the series Jay will have grown far more confident in front of the camera. If he doesn't waste his opportunities he could do very well from it.

The BBC like to offer something to winners who aren't already tied to them in a soap or news role/cooking show. Hell even Louis Smith ended up on a hand crafted Gymnastic tv show.

There is an obvious answer to the question but I dare not post it.

I'd imagine that he'll do the Strictly tour followed by either a Wanted reunion or a return to relative obscurity. He doesn't seem to be the type to go to the opening of an envelope and he doesn't come across as a Mr Showbiz type either tho with his background I presume he has that side to him.

I have no wish to offend anyone and he seems nice enough but I'm not quite feeling the Jay love. For me, I want to see him dancing and not looking like he's holding in a dodgy fart after a big night out.

Well he's a multi-millionaire so I guess he'll do whatever he wants to.

I remember someone saying a similar thing about Will Young! 13 years later he has another No. 1 album, a new tour coming up and has carved himself a great career on the stage!

Unfortunately for Jay, I would doubt that very much. The Wanted's success was relatively limited in the US, they weren't a major albums group in the UK and I don't think most of their main hit singles were self written, so the scope for One Direction multi-millionaire rewards would be significantly lower.

No, he is fine as he is.

He could do quite well for himself. Hope he does not go back to being in the Wanted, I can see him playing Danny in Grease.

The Jay haters can't bear the fact that he is way ahead in the popularity polls in here and everywhere else. So they make idiots of themselves by trying to spoil a thread which asks a sensible question. This of course will just make Jay's followers even more determined that he gets to the finals by sending a few more extra votes his way.

I'm your number one fan. There's nothing to worry about. You're going to be just fine. I will take good care of you. I'm your number one fan.

They should be very scared. I've just found out that someone has moved my little penguin (it always faces due south) and I'm about to get the blowtorch out.

What was he doing before he appeared on Strictly? I guess his exposure on the show will help him to do more of that with more choice and greater reach.

I hate the word "haters" - so silly and juvenile.

I don't dislike Jay; he seems like an OK guy and he's a good dancer. I don't really have a favourite this year and it wouldn't be a travesty if he won. I do think he was probably destined to win from the beginning; he's an inoffensive boy band member and there was no question of his ability given his experience.

The hysteria for him on here puts me off him though - Monkseal's post sums it up perfectly.

He's got a lot going for him and the show is giving him a huge amount of free publicity. X Factor's declining ratings is a nice little boost for him as more and more see him.

As long as he doesn't go back to his wacky boy band persona which I doubt as he's maturing (even before our very eyes) and doesn't rush back to the states he could mop up. Time will tell.

BIB I like Jay, but have to agree with this. As for calling him 'Jaypet' , it makes him look about 5 years old....he would probably cringe if he read it

I don't get the hysteria comment. What hysteria on DS. Bollocks.
