Come on Walter, we are just having a bit of fun, we all know he is going to win so why call fms 'haters'.

You can all vote for him as many times as you like but I feel you will be making idiots of yourselves wasting your money when he doesn't need the extra votes.

I think it's quite likely he was skint in 2012, or at least not anything like as well off as he almost certainly is now. That would have been before the big break in the States. Groups like the Wanted typically don't earn much at all until they are established, but you don't get your own American TV series without earning serious dough not to mention the sell-out tours of huge stadia that came later in their career.

He appears to have modest tastes - drinking beer, reading, playing with his pet lizard and going to festivals seem his main recreations - therefore it's unlikely he's blown a fortune on partying, women and drugs, so why wouldn't he have amassed several million dollars?

It mildly intrigues me that most people seem so reluctant to accept that he's probably very well-heeled. Does it spoil his boy-next-door image or something? Or is he "too young" to be rich?

Of course he's not the only millionaire on the show - Jeremy Vine is doing very nicely for himself too for example but then he's 50 so that's probably more palatable to the audience.

Kimberly has haf a fair bit of success and has established herself as a presenter and performer and of course Alesha has doje very well for herself haha. I think it really depends on the person, Jay doesn't really have that go getter personality where he will see this as a massive marketing step and seize all the fame he can get from it.”

BIB. Really?, l'm surprised about that. Didn't know anything about them so have looked on u tube , and, think in my younger days l would have liked him the best

If he focuses on his career and doesn't get his head turned he could do well from this opportunity. Not sure what management he has but that will make a difference too. he's a lovely guy and I;d rather see him do well than a lot of the ***** that fill our screens.

He does need some media training but surviving a season of SCD is a good grounding.

Totally agree, he seems pretty chilled and just going with the flow so I suspect he'll carry on doing the same thing and may head back across to the US to pick up over there.
Max George did okay for himself with a guest run in the final season of Glee (even if he wasn't particularly good )

I looked at the other boy members and I'd have definately gone for Jay over the others. The one who turned up on last week's strictly was pug ugly. Those uber caped teeth were horrendous and the fake tan made him look like a Las Vegas lounge singer. It looks like two of the members (including fake tan guy) were the pushy ones and the other 3 including Jay were kept more in the background.

I think you're inferring a fair amount from very little there. My only point is that we don't know what money he's made and random, unattributed 'articles' on the internet tell us precisely nothing. (According to the Internet, Carol Kirkwood is 6'10 ).

He may have squillions, or very little (plenty of apparently successful ex-boy- and girl-banders out there as proof of either end of the spectrum). I honestly don't care either way. Well, except I'd like him not to be skint, obviously .

That makes absolutely no sense .

Jay's a total sweetheart and Siva has to be one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen but the others wouldn't have caught my eye even if I wasn't old enough to be their mother!

I think that's right.

I just hope he gets out of it what he wants - be it a switch of direction or a total career change in the public eye or out of it.

OK, I'll compromise and change "haters" to silly, immature idiots.

I have not spent a penny voting for Jay, he gets my free, three online votes, and that's all.

Dont spend a penny either. Just vote for him for free each week.

I just hope he has an amazing time doing strictly. I'm not usually bothered what happens after, except that he seems lovely and grounded so I hope he does whatever makes him happy.

And I hope he's filthy mega bucks rich and is doing Strictly because he just loves dancing.

I believe that is exactly right, and I think it adds greatly to the charm of what he's doing. It's for personal development and the love of dance - same as Jeremy but with a vastly superior skill set!

It must be heaven for him. Improve his dancing skills and get paid for it. Plus you socialise with a great bunch of people and it makes his mum happy.

So he can sing, dance, but can he act?

If he can do all three he'd have what the Americans love, which is the triple threat, lol.

He could possibly go to America and go to casting calls for things, they love multi-talented people, and the Wanted did ok in America at one point, so he might still have fans there interested in him.

He prob still has music contacts from back in the day, so he could make a way back into that (and he's lovely enough so maybe old friends in the industry might want to help him out).

As mentioned he could do theatre and showcase a mixture of talents. He's got quite alot of options, and is still deemed as young so in a way still has the world at his feet (despite already having a lot of experience).

I cannot think of anyone who did well in the show who did not get some extra profile and opportunities afterwards. I am sure he will do well in the show and afterwards.

I just want him and Aliona to head off into the sunset and have babies.

I'm sorry.

You're being more than a little disingenuous.

The Wanted's success was relatively limited in the US
- They had their own TV series!!”

No need to shout But I was aware of that, liked The Wanted and Jay especially, but a series on a reality channel is no guaranteed route to millions and didn't really propel their US career any further, as they seemed to fizzle out more in the aftermath.

They had to split up/take a break as Nathan had to have throat surgery. (Information gleaned from watching the godawful tv series yesterday )

I may be completely wrong, but I do not see him as a person of a zeleb variety who would want to capitalise on his built up fame and get some token "work" and get paid for it. Maybe some Cowells may try to lure him on one of their three ring circus shows, but he seems too anarchistic for it

It is, yes, but in this context it's regarded as unacceptable.
