What was the best convention you attended
Was watching the panopticon 93 videos on YouTube.
Looks like an amazing experience. Wondering what your best event experience? |

Not the best but probably the most memorable for me, was the very first Torchwood Convention, called 'The Rift'', A one day convention in London that was organized by James Marsters several years ago.
It had lots of the cast and writers there., and had the usual signing, panels etc. But what made it so memorable was the evenings entertainment. It should have been a concert by James , but he became ill, so after a very long wait, when nobody knew what was happening, they eventually got Kai Owen (Rhys Williams) back from the pub (where he'd gone when his part of the con has supposedly finished) Kai was, by the time they got him on stage, drunk, and did an hilarious stand up routine, (with welsh singing) . Kai was then , after a while joined on stage by Gareth David Lloyd (Ianto), who had heard that Kai was doing stand up , and decided to come to his rescue. Gareth then got an audience member on stage and together they sang several songs from Gease (but changing the words to make them more rude). It as hilarious. One of the best evenings entertainment, probably because it was unexpected. |

One of my favourites was Battlefield III because Frazer Hines threw me over his shoulder. Panopticon 2000 was a fantastic one. Lis Sladen swore at me in the photo studio at Panopticon 2002 but she apologised the next day. She'd known me a few years by then so I didn't mind. I've been going to them since 1998 and it's hard to say which was best because each has high points.
