Do you think Alien Uncovered are a good bet!?

I've been deliberating there price for a while, as i think its a really good one. Been looking at the reviews on the sofabet site and some have said there not a bad bet at 33/1 now into 25's and 20/1 in places. Ive had £230 on them at £100 @33/1 & £130 @ 25/1.

Looking at 4th impact yes they do look favourable and producers alpha from the groups, but did'nt quite like there performance at judges houses. Im hoping they will come down in price as the weeks come as will be a good bet to lay off if this happens. I so believe they want a group to win this year with 1D not going so well at the moment.

thoughts please. thanks

I really don't think so. Putting the fact that I'm not a fan of them aside and trying to be purely objective, they seem to fit the mold of the female group who goes home first. The public in the past have never really taken to the edgy, cool, girl group. They're always the first to get the boot.

The only time a girl group excelled was with Little Mix because they pushed them as these down to earth normal relatable girls who won't steal your boyfriend (and they were talented), and of 4th Impact and Alien Uncovered, it's a bit obvious based on what we've seen so far which of the two is going to benefit from the audience being that way inclined.

I love Alien and think they'll go further than a lot of people think they will. I can't see them winning though - the talent is too high amongst the solo artists this year.

I also don't believe 4th Impact will go as far as many think.

A risky bet? Yes. A good bet? Possibly. I'm very excited to see Alien Uncovered's progress more than any other act in the live shows. Personally they give me a 'Fleur' vibe: Cool, edgy, stylish, can put on a performance, sing modern songs, etc. And don't forget Fleur was a massive outside bet by this stage of the competition too. But unlike Fleur, this forum doesn't seem to care for Alien much at all and it was likely this forum that carried (at least some of) Fleur's success.

On the other hand, there's always the matter of who will get the young/teenage girl vote this year. Of course their vote could go to Mason because he's good looking and he might even a bit of the bad-boy edge going on, but there's no cute boybands this year and Mason's performance at the 6CC didn't exactly paint him in the nicest of light. So maybe like Little Mix, their vote will go toward a cool, current girl group they can relate to, and I feel Alien Uncovered have more of an edge to them than 4th Impact do.

Alien Uncovered really have to prove themselves and fast if they want to get through the first weeks. They're not on the radar at the moment but that doesn't mean they're out of the running yet, just look at Fleur East, Luke Friend, Little Mix, etc. They just need to build a stable fanbase first before they have any chance of winning.

They've clearly got someone behind them but I don't see that they've got the looks or the talent to do much on the X Factor. The judges will gush over them but they'll be towards the bottom of the votes from the start.

A good bet to leave first? Absolutely.

I'm thinking group or girl soloist this year.

Overs and boys all very forgettable.

So yes alien are a decent each way bet.

Are those odds to go the first week, if so I think I'll have a few hundred on them.
